In general, in real life, jilted lovers move towards others seeking new love. One betrayal does not make everyone a cheat. A person needs love in life and hope is what makes the world go around. If the victim has no hopes of any future, then the victim would go into depression and possibly even attempt suicide. What does the victim have to live for? After the betrayal, if he starts doubting everything, then how can he be sure that the children are his? When he discovered the garment, he was still lied to and told that it was a one night stand. Now, he is later told that it was not and the one night stand story was a lie. So, what if the entire marriage was a lie? How does he know that this is the complete truth? If he starts doubting everything and everyone, then he has no reason to live. Period.

There are many readers and every reader can have whimsical demands. If writers give in to one illogical reader what about others? Such a story would be more illogical and horrible and would repel many logical and sensible readers.
