Chapter 29: The Slap and the lesson
The morning light slipped through the thin curtains in pale, hesitant streaks, turning the small flat gold at the edges. Jeeva woke early — 5:45 AM —, his cock soft but heavy against his thigh, as if waiting for the next trigger. He lay still for a moment, listening.
No kids stirring yet.
No soft footsteps in the kitchen.
But the door to Anandhi’s room was open — just a crack — and he heard her moving.
He rose, pulled on a T-shirt and shorts, and stepped into the hall.
Anandhi was already up — sitting on the sofa, knees drawn up, saree from yesterday still on, pallu loose around her shoulders. Her hair was messy, eyes red-rimmed from crying, but her face was set — determined.
She looked up when he appeared.
“I need to speak with you, about Rahul” she said quietly.
Jeeva froze for a second — surprised. He had planned to have a small chat today — gently plant the idea of remarriage, test how far she had moved from Rahul, nudge her toward Suriya. But this… this was unexpected.
He nodded — voice calm.
“Okay. I’m here.”
She rose — walked to the kids’ room — locked the door softly so they wouldn’t wake. Then she came back, sat behind him on the sofa — close enough that he felt the heat of her body, smelled the faint jasmine still clinging to her hair from yesterday.
She took a breath.
“I want to search for Rahul. Will you help me?”
Jeeva’s heart slammed against his ribs.
Panic hit him instantly — sharp, cold.
He couldn’t let her dig.
Everything was his setup.
If she searched too deep — if she found Madhavan, or the real timeline, or any crack in the story — everything would collapse. His identity. His plan. His death.
She’d learn he was Rahul — alive, dying, manipulating her.
He forced his voice steady.
“You should stop worrying. He already left. The note proves it. The cash proves it. He chose someone else.”
Anandhi shook her head — eyes fierce.
“No. I don’t trust it. I still feel he’s lying. Hiding something from me.”
Jeeva’s frustration flared — he couldn’t stop her now. Not without revealing too much.
He tried again — softer.
“Maybe you should move on. I’ll register a profile for you on a matrimony site. Someone good. Someone who’ll stay.”
Anandhi’s eyes flashed.
She slapped him — sharp, sudden — palm cracking across his cheek.
The sound echoed in the quiet flat.
Jeeva froze — stunned.
Anandhi’s hand trembled — she stared at it like it belonged to someone else.
“What do you think of me?” she whispered — voice shaking with anger and hurt. “You think I’m some woman who can just… replace him? After everything? After waiting years? After raising our kids alone? You think I can just sign up like I’m shopping for a new husband?”
Jeeva touched his cheek — the sting sharp, but nothing compared to the pain in her eyes.
He opened his mouth — no words came.
Anandhi realized she had overreacted. Her anger softened — guilt replacing it.
“I’m sorry,” she said quietly. “Don’t bring that topic again.”
She rose — turned to leave.
Then stopped.
Sat down again — closer this time — voice low.
“I know what you’re up to.”
Jeeva tensed.
She looked at him — eyes steady, searching.
“I know you took my clothes that night. My nighty. My bra. My panties. While I slept. I woke up. I saw you leaving with them.”
Jeeva’s breath caught.
She continued — voice soft, almost sad.
“I thought… maybe it’s your age. Hormones. Young man urges. I told myself it was nothing. But now… I see how you look at me. How you stand too close. How you touch me ‘accidentally.’”
She paused — cheeks flushing.
“I’m not blind, Jeeva. I know you want me. Sexually.”
And now i know why you didnt want me to search for him. You think you can obtain me sexually if im away from him?
Jeeva felt exposed only part of it was true, he doesnt want her to search him..
He didn’t deny it. But he knows she had misunderstood everything, but he cant explain.
He couldn’t.
She looked down — fingers twisting in her pallu.
“But I can’t. I won’t. I’m married. Rahul is still my husband — even if he left. Even if he cheated. I can’t just… give myself to someone else. Not yet. Maybe never.”
Jeeva’s throat tightened.
he said — voice rough.
“You misunderstand.”
Lets search for him next week, i have some appointments this week.
Never thought you will think of me this way, yea you are sexy , i masturabated on you. I would be lucky if I could have sex with you but i never thought of owning it because of your condition i dont dare. All i wanted is you should get someone as a partner life partner for yourself your age is still 32 young and for kids safety.
Anandhi firmly said i love only Rahul, no one can even come close love he showered no one.
Anandhi looked at him — eyes soft, conflicted.
“But I also know… I have only you now. You’re the only one who stayed. The only one who helps. The only one who makes this flat feel like home again.”
She reached out — fingers brushing his hand — brief, tentative.
“Thank you… for being here.”
She stood — walked to the kitchen.
Jeeva sat frozen.
He had a new headache now — bigger than stopping her search.
She was falling for him. He just know it.. Not as a brother-in-law.
Not as a friend.
As a man.
And he had less than 60 days to make things happen the way he want.
He now knows directly asking her for remarriage won't worry. She need to be seduced sexually, make an affair that is the only way she can now be transferred to another man.. Even love wont work because she is falling for him, he kind of feel it.
He was thinking a quick plan to turn the things in his favor, he needs to stop her, then he needs to orchestrate something that will bring Suriya closer to her. That way she would stop searching for rahul, once get seduced by Suriya, she will have man to fuck her all day to stop her falling love in with him and searching Rahul.
