Siva joins the Event

The next day, the wedding festivities grew livelier with Siva joining the event after his business trip. Gayatri was happy to have him there, but Raj seemed particularly excited about a special event planned for the evening—a rain dance.

As the evening sun dipped below the horizon, clouds gathered, and the stage was set for the rain dance. The organizers made an announcement, “Couples only, please!”

Raj, who had heard about the rain dance earlier, was visibly enthusiastic. “Bhayya, Bhabhi! You both should join the rain dance. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to do something so fun at a wedding.”

Gayatri’s initial reaction was hesitant, even resistant. “Raj, no. I don’t think that’s a good idea. Siva’s tired from the trip, and I—well, I don’t want to.”

Siva, slightly tired but in a good mood, chuckled. “Yeah, maybe not today, Raj. We’ll watch from the sidelines.”

But Raj wasn’t one to give up easily, especially with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. “Come on, Bhayya. You both have to experience this! It’s not every day you get to dance in the rain with the person you love, at a wedding no less!”

He turned his persuasive energy to Siva. “Bhayya, don’t you want to hold Bhabhi in the rain, see her dancing, and make some unforgettable memories?” Siva’s resolve softened. He turned to Gayatri, his eyes almost pleading now, persuaded by Raj’s insistence. “Come on, Gayu. It’ll be fun! Raj is right, we should do this together.” Gayatri sighed, her reluctance still clear, but with Siva now pleading as well, she gave in with a small smile. “Alright, fine. But don’t blame me if we both catch a cold.”

Raj beamed, giving Siva a playful nudge. “That’s the spirit, Bhayya! You’ll see—it’ll be a memory to cherish.”

The Rain Dance: Raj’s Distant Admiration

The rain had begun to pour in rhythmic sheets, drenching the dance floor where couples swayed together to the beat of the music. Siva and Gayatri were among them, their bodies moving fluidly as they held each other close, the rain soaking through their clothes. The shimmering droplets cascaded over Gayatri’s cyan colored saree, making the fabric cling to her figure, accentuating every curve as she moved.

Raj, standing off to the side, was trying his best to stay focused on the dancers as a whole, but it was impossible to take his eyes off Gayatri. She looked ethereal, her wet hair plastered against her face, the water running down her cheeks. She smiled softly at Siva, and the joy in her face as she danced was magnetic. Raj watched silently, his admiration growing with every passing second. She was beyond beautiful tonight—she was stunning, almost surreal in the rain.

As Raj’s attention remained fixed on Gayatri, he wasn’t the only one captivated by her. A few young men standing nearby had also been watching, their eyes filled with a different kind of intensity.

As Gayatri spun in Siva’s arms, adjusting her saree every now and then to cover herself properly, Raj’s gaze followed her every movement. It wasn’t just admiration; it was something deeper, something he couldn’t explain even to himself. The spectators around him noticed too, their subtle comments filtering through the air.

“Wow,” one of them muttered under his breath, his voice barely audible over the rain. “Look at her. That saree... I swear, I’ve never seen anything like it. The way it’s clinging to her—it's like she was made for the rain.”

Raj’s stomach tightened at the comment, but he stayed quiet, his jaw clenching slightly. Another man, who had been standing just a few feet away, let out a low whistle. “No kidding. Her husband is a lucky guy. She’s a real beauty, man. If I had a wife like that, I wouldn’t be able to keep my hands off her.” The first man laughed quietly, his tone growing more suggestive. “Forget about her husband. How the hell are we supposed to sleep tonight after seeing this? It’s gonna be torture. I’ll be thinking about her all night long.”

The first man laughed quietly. “Forget waiting for the night. I can’t handle this anymore. I need to take care of myself right now.” Raj froze, his heart skipping a beat as the man turned and hurried toward a nearby bathroom, his intentions all too clear. The other men chuckled, their eyes still focused on Gayatri. “Man, he couldn’t even wait. Guess she’s really gotten under his skin.” Raj shifted uncomfortably, his hands gripping the edge of his jacket as he tried to block out their words. His gaze flickered back to Gayatri and Siva on the dance floor. She was laughing, her face alight with happiness, completely unaware of the comments being made about her just a few feet away. One of the other men leaned in closer to the group, his voice dropping into a conspiratorial whisper. “I know what you mean. It’s gonna take at least three releases to calm down after seeing her like that. Especially with the way she moves.”

After a few minutes, the first man returned from the bathroom, his expression smug, a satisfied grin on his face. He rejoined his friends, shaking his head as if in disbelief. “Man, that was amazing. I swear, the hardest I’ve ever gone and the strongest release I’ve ever had.” The other men laughed quietly, clearly amused. “She really did a number on you, huh?” The man nodded, his voice low and conspiratorial. “Longest I’ve ever lasted. Just thinking about her dancing out there—it was worth it. That was the strongest release I’ve had in a long time.”

Raj’s breath hitched slightly, his muscles tensing. He could feel his heartbeat quicken, the mixture of anger and protectiveness bubbling up inside him. But he remained silent, his jaw clenched as he kept his eyes forward, pretending not to hear them.

The group continued, each comment making Raj feel more uncomfortable, but there was nothing he could do without making a scene. His eyes flicked back to Gayatri—she was still dancing, her saree now completely soaked through, clinging to her every movement. Siva twirled her around gently, and her laugh echoed through the rain. She was completely oblivious to the heated atmosphere created by the comments surrounding her.

The men beside Raj continued to make remarks, each one more vulgar than the last. “I swear, she’s the kind of woman who could keep a man up all night just thinking about her.”

One of the other men chuckled softly. “Yeah, no way I’m sleeping tonight without thinking of her. That saree, those curves… her total geography… bba bba bba, He is a very lucky man. I’m not sure how he handles it.”

Raj’s fists tightened at his sides. He stole a glance at Gayatri through the raindrops, her radiant smile piercing through the tension in his chest. She didn’t deserve this—these crude comments, this unwarranted attention. His admiration for her was nothing like theirs, and the way they spoke about her made his skin crawl. But all he could do was stand there, biting back his anger, silently watching as the rain continued to fall.

The men’s comments continued, but Raj forced himself to tune them out, refocusing his gaze on Siva and Gayatri. His eyes met Gayatri’s from across the dance floor for a brief moment. She smiled softly at him, unaware of the undercurrent of tension between him and the other men. She seemed shy, perhaps flustered by the attention she had sensed coming from Raj himself earlier. She adjusted her saree subtly, pulling her pallu tighter around her shoulders as if she could feel the weight of his gaze on her.

Raj quickly looked away, guilt seeping in. He hadn’t meant to stare. He respected Gayatri, admired her even, but now he couldn’t shake the feeling of being part of the crowd that was leering at her. It left a bad taste in his mouth, and yet, there was nothing he could do. He couldn’t defend her without drawing attention to what was being said. He couldn’t interrupt the beauty of the moment she was sharing with Siva. Instead, he remained where he was, silent and tense, watching as the rain continued to fall around them, wishing that he could make the comments disappear, and that Gayatri never had to know.

Gayatri, despite the fun she was having with Siva, couldn’t help but notice Raj’s lingering gaze. Every time she caught him staring, her heart fluttered slightly, a strange feeling of shyness washing over her. 

She kept adjusting her saree, pulling the pallu tighter, as if to protect herself from Raj’s intense, admiring look. Her eyes would meet his briefly, and every time they did, her cheeks flushed slightly, though it was hard to tell if it was from the rain or something else.

After a few songs, Siva and Gayatri returned to where Raj was standing. He greeted them with a wide smile. “That was incredible! You two looked amazing out there.”

Siva, still catching his breath, smiled back. “Yeah, it was fun. You were right, Raj. I’m glad we joined.”

Raj’s tone shifted, turning more reflective. “Bhayya, you’re really lucky. You got to participate and enjoy those moments together. Me? Well, I missed out. Unmarried guys like me don’t get these kinds of opportunities.”

Siva, ever the big brother, patted Raj on the back. “That’s why I keep telling you, Raj—you need to get married. See what you missed? A golden opportunity.” Raj’s smile faltered slightly, but he laughed it off, though something in him felt a twinge of sadness.

After the Dance: Siva’s Mischief

When the dance finally ended, Siva and Gayatri returned to where Raj stood, shaking off the rain and laughing softly. Raj smiled at them, masking the emotions that had built up during the dance.

“That was amazing!” Raj said, clapping his hands together. “You both looked incredible out there.”

Siva grinned, still catching his breath. “Yeah, it was fun. Thanks for insisting, Raj. You were right—it’s a memory to cherish.”

Raj chuckled, but his tone grew slightly wistful. “Bhayya, you’re really lucky. You got to participate and enjoy those moments. I missed out... being single and all. Guess that’s one of the downsides.”

Siva’s mischievous side came out as he patted Raj on the back. “Raj, you might not have joined the dance, but I’m sure you enjoyed it just as much from where you were standing. With all those pretty women on the dance floor, especially…”

Raj tried to cover up his flustered expression, but Siva’s teasing hit closer to the truth than he would admit. He laughed awkwardly. “Bhayya, I was just watching. Nothing more.”

Siva raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. “Just watching? Come on, Raj. I saw the way you were looking at the dance floor. You were having a great time, admit it.”

Raj scratched the back of his neck, trying to play it off. “Okay, okay. Maybe I appreciated the beauty of the moment.”

Siva laughed, not realizing just how true Raj’s words were. “That’s more like it! But still, that’s why I keep telling you, Raj—you need to get married. See what you missed out on tonight? A golden opportunity.”

Raj forced a smile, though something in his chest tightened. “Yeah, maybe you’re right.”

Anjali’s Request

Just then, Anjali and her husband approached, their faces glowing from the post-dance adrenaline. After exchanging pleasantries, Anjali whispered something into her husband’s ear. He chuckled, nodded, and then excused himself, leaving her standing with Raj, Siva, and Gayatri.

Anjali’s eyes gleamed as she looked directly at Gayatri. “Gayatri,” she began, her voice playful but serious, “I want to dance with Raj once.” Gayatri blinked in surprise, but her lips curved into a smile. “With Raj?” Anjali nodded enthusiastically. “Yes, with Raj! You saw him earlier, encouraging everyone to join in. Now it’s his turn.”

Raj, feeling cornered, tried to back away. “Oh no, no, I think I’m good. I’ve enjoyed watching enough.” Anjali was persistent. “Come on, Raj! You’ve had your fun watching. Now it’s time to show us your moves.” She turned to Gayatri, her eyes pleading. “Please, Gayatri, make him dance with me. I want to see what he’s got.” Gayatri, sensing the opportunity to tease Raj, smiled mischievously. “What do you say, Raj? You’ve been admiring the dance floor from afar. Wouldn’t you want to join Anjali for one dance?” Raj sighed inwardly, trying to escape. “Bhabhi, you know who I really want to dance with right now.” Gayatri raised an eyebrow, her voice dropping into a teasing tone. “I know, Raj. You’ve been eyeing Rani earlier, haven’t you? But she’s married too, and I think you’ll have to wait for another lifetime to dance with her.” Raj smiled weakly, though he understood Gayatri’s playful tone. “Bhabhi, I wasn’t talking about Rani… You know who..”

Gayatri’s eyes twinkled with amusement as she leaned closer, whispering just enough for Raj to hear. “Raj, I know what you’re thinking. But since Anjali’s asking so sweetly, you can’t let her down. Don’t miss out on this chance while waiting for the moon to fall into your lap.” Raj understood the subtle meaning behind her words. He sighed, defeated but smiling. “Bhabhi... Can I... dance with, uh... hmm... you instead?” Before Gayatri could respond, Siva, who had been watching the exchange with mild amusement, joined them. “What’s going on?” Gayatri grinned and filled him in. “Anjali wants to dance with Raj, but our dear Raj is feeling a bit shy about it.” Siva laughed, clapping Raj on the shoulder. “Come on, Raj! Don’t be shy. You’ve been talking about missed opportunities, and now you have one. You’re lucky to have someone like Anjali asking you for a dance!”

Raj groaned inwardly but smiled. “I guess I don’t have much of a choice now, do I?” Gayatri gave him a final teasing nudge. “Nope, no choice. And consider this an order from your Bhabhi.” Raj, cornered and unable to refuse, finally agreed. Anjali, grinning victoriously, grabbed his hand and led him onto the dance floor. “You’ll thank me later,” she teased as they walked.

After the Dance: Gayatri’s Teasing Continued

Raj raised an eyebrow, already bracing himself. “What question?”

Gayatri leaned closer, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “How was the experience with Anjali? Did you, uh... realize any of your fantasies about dancing with a married woman?”

Raj’s eyes widened, and his face turned an even deeper shade of red. “Bhabhi! What are you saying? It wasn’t like that at all.” Gayatri chuckled, clearly enjoying his discomfort. “Oh, come on, Raj. You’ve always had a thing for married women, right? You can’t deny that.” Raj rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. “Bhabhi, that’s not true! I was just dancing because you and Bhayya practically forced me.”

Gayatri smirked, not letting him off the hook that easily. “Right, right. And yet, Anjali seemed pretty pleased with you. Are you sure none of your ‘secret fantasies’ came to life on the dance floor?” Raj groaned, burying his face in his hands. “Bhabhi, please! You’re making it sound like something else.” Gayatri’s laughter softened into a more teasing tone. “Relax, Raj. I’m just messing with you. But I do have to admit... Anjali seemed quite taken with you.” Raj looked up, his curiosity piqued again. “Speaking of which... what exactly did Anjali whisper in your ear before she left?” Gayatri’s eyes twinkled with delight as she saw her chance to tease him again. “Ah, that? I’m not telling you.”

Raj narrowed his eyes, half-serious, half-amused. “Come on, Bhabhi. You can’t just leave me hanging like that. What did she say?” Gayatri put on a mock-serious expression, tapping her chin thoughtfully. “Hmm... Should I tell you? Should I not?”

Raj sighed dramatically. “Bhabhi, this is torture. Just tell me already.”

Gayatri shook her head, enjoying every second of Raj’s frustration. “Nope, you’ll have to keep wondering, Raj. Let your imagination fill in the blanks.”

Raj groaned in defeat. “You’re impossible, Bhabhi.”

Gayatri winked at him, her voice light and teasing. “That’s what you love about me, isn’t it?”

Raj shook his head with a smile, knowing there was no winning against her when she was in this mood. “Alright, you win. I give up.”

Gayatri laughed softly, watching him with a mixture of amusement and fondness. “Good. But next time, maybe I’ll let you in on the secret.”

Raj chuckled, finally relaxing. “I’ll hold you to that.”

As the night wore on and the wedding festivities slowly wound down, Raj couldn’t help but think back on the day’s events. The rain dance, the comments from the guys around him, the teasing exchanges with Gayatri, and his dance with Anjali—it all left a lasting impression on him. And while he tried to brush it off as just another day of playful banter, there was something more simmering beneath the surface.

For Gayatri, the teasing had been fun, but she too had felt something shift. Raj’s protectiveness, his lingering gaze during the rain dance, and his obvious discomfort at dancing with Anjali—it had all made her more aware of the subtle undercurrents in their relationship. Though she wouldn’t admit it, there were moments when she caught herself thinking about Raj in ways she hadn’t before.

As they prepared to leave the event, Siva, ever oblivious to the subtle tension, patted Raj on the back. “See, Raj? You had your fun today, even without being married. But mark my words—you’ll thank me one day when you finally do get hitched.”

Raj smiled weakly, nodding. “Yeah, Bhayya. Maybe you’re right.”

But as he looked over at Gayatri one last time, adjusting her saree and exchanging a final playful glance with him, Raj couldn’t help but think that marriage wasn’t the solution to the feelings he was wrestling with. It was something deeper, something that couldn’t be resolved so easily.

And as they left the wedding, the playful banter and teasing lingered in the air, masking the unspoken emotions between them, leaving both Raj and Gayatri to wonder where the line between fun and something more truly lay.
