17. Raj started occupying her

A week had passed since Raj's last visit, and the silence weighed heavily on Gayatri. There were no messages, no calls—just an uneasy quiet that settled over her. Despite herself, she couldn't help but wonder where Raj was and why he hadn't reached out. Yet, she resisted the urge to contact him, trying to push away the confusing emotions that his presence always stirred.

Siva noticed the absence, too. One evening, as they were winding down, he casually suggested, "Gayatri, why don't you invite Raj over this weekend? It’s been a while." The suggestion made her heart race with a mix of emotions she couldn’t quite name. She nodded, though, keeping her voice steady. "Sure, I’ll send him a message." Reluctantly, she typed out a simple “Hi Raj,” and sent it, only to notice the message hadn’t been delivered. A single tick on WhatsApp showed it was still waiting in the digital void. Frowning slightly, she told Siva, who shrugged it off.

"He’s probably busy," Siva remarked. "I’ll try calling him tomorrow if we still haven’t heard anything."

Friday passed without any word from Raj, and Siva’s calls went unanswered. Gayatri tried to focus on other things, telling herself that it wasn’t a big deal, but the silence gnawed at her. Then, on Saturday morning, her phone buzzed. Raj had finally replied. She opened the message quickly, her eyes scanning the text as Siva moved about the room.

Gayatri: "What happened? Looks like you’re busy and forgot us."

Raj: "No bhabhi, I had to go to my hometown suddenly. Nothing to worry about, just a casual trip."

Gayatri: "Oh, that’s good. I thought you ignored us completely."

A brief pause followed before Raj sent his next message, laced with his usual playful tone.

Raj: "How can I forget my beautiful bhabhi… bhabhi…"

Gayatri’s heart skipped a beat, a mixture of irritation and something else flaring up inside her. She quickly replied, hoping Siva wouldn’t notice her sudden tension.

Gayatri: "Shut up, Raj. Please don’t talk like that, you know… I am your bhabhi."

Raj: "Yeah bhabhi, but somehow I feel I have the liberty to ask my bhabhi, isn’t it?"

Gayatri: "Hmmm, NO. I messaged you because your bhayya wants to invite you to dinner this weekend." 

Raj: "I will come if I get my favorite…"

Gayatri’s pulse quickened. She glanced at Siva, who was still occupied, before replying with a touch of nervousness.

Gayatri: "Raj… shhh, shut up. I thought you had changed. But it seems not. You already had it last time itself, that’s it."

Raj: "It was so smooth and tempting bhabhi… I want it again and again."

Gayatri: "Raj, please… you already got what you wanted."

Raj: "Bhabhi, please... this time, please bhabhi."

She hesitated, her fingers trembling slightly as she typed. The conversation was veering into dangerous territory, and she knew she needed to end it.

Gayatri: "You are nuts… shut up. Is this how you talk to your bhabhi? Your bhayya is here…"

Raj: "My favorite????"

Gayatri: "Please, Raj… please don’t ask like that."

Raj: "Yes, along with my other favorite dishes… please, please, please…. Bhabhi"

Gayatri: "You are impossible… bye."

She ended the chat, her nerves on edge. A few moments later, Raj called Siva directly, and the two arranged for dinner that night. After the call, Siva turned to Gayatri with a smile. "Raj is coming over tonight. He mentioned he really enjoyed the dishes you made last time. Think you could prepare them again?"

Gayatri’s cheeks warmed, a flush of embarrassment mixing with something deeper. She knew exactly what Raj had been hinting at, and it wasn’t just about food. Forcing a smile, she nodded. "Okay, I’ll keep them ready."

Siva grinned, satisfied with her response, and walked away, leaving her to her thoughts. The familiar unease crept back as the day wore on. Trying to clear her mind, she decided to take a long bath, hoping the warm water would wash away the tension. As the water cascaded over her, Gayatri tried to focus on the evening ahead, telling herself it was just another dinner. Yet, she couldn’t shake the feeling that tonight would be different. It wasn’t just about the food or the company; it was the lingering memory of Raj’s words, his playful demands, and the way they made her feel - vulnerable, flattered, and uneasy all at once.

When Gayatri finally emerged from the bath, it was nearly 5 PM. Gayatri, feeling surprised and a bit flustered, debated what to wear. She opted for a full blouse, put on a petticoat, and carefully selected a saree.  As she looked at herself in the mirror, she felt a mix of anticipation and dread. Tonight would be another test of her composure, and she wasn’t entirely sure how she would handle it.

Raj arrived by 5 PM and was discussing with Siva. She walked where Raj and Siva were sitting. Raj saw Gayatri and smiled in a way she could understand. Gayatri asked Siva to come inside.

Gayatri: "Did you bring the vermicelli for the kheer?"

Siva: "Oh no, I didn't. I'll go now… till then give Raj some tea or coffee."

Raj: "Bhayya, what happened?" (as he put on his shirt and came out)

Siva: "Nothing, I will get some groceries and vegetables…."

Raj: "Hmmmm. Ya bhayya… meanwhile bhabhi will serve me tea and 'snacks.' You can go, bhayya."

Gayatri gave Raj a look of fake anger and went to the kitchen as Siva left.

Raj: "Bhabhi… snacks…" (he comes to the kitchen)

Gayatri: "Raj, please… what is this…."

Raj: "I like snacks, you know that…."

Gayatri was sweating a bit due to heat and tension in the air.

Gayatri: "Please Raj, please spare me." (she took a heavy breath)

Raj didn't waste any time. He turned her to face him, turned off the stove, and pressed her against the modular kitchen wall. Gayatri felt an electric ecstasy coursing through her. She stood stiffly with her hands closed, feeling the heat of the moment. Raj looked at her calmly without touching her, his eyes devouring the sight of her beautiful body and the way she was breathing in and out. His heart raced with anticipation. Gayatri opened her eyes, saw Raj enjoying the sight of her, and closed them again, the feeling giving her immense pleasure. He slowly approached her and whispered into her ear.

Raj: "Bhabhi, I want to have my favorite."

Gayatri: "Hmmm…" (feeling his lips on her earlobes)

Raj: "Thanks for wearing a lovely saree for me, bhabhi… aaaaaaaaah" (he kissed her earlobes)

She shivered, and he could feel it. He took his tongue out and slowly licked her earlobes.

Raj: "Hmmmmm, bhabhi…"

He slowly started kissing her collar bones and her shoulders, making Gayatri moan and shudder with pleasure.

Gayatri: "Hmmmm, hmmm… Raj please noo…" was all she could say.

She remained in shock, her hands still closed. Raj caressed her body, feeling the warmth of her touch. He started kissing her neck, trying to make space for himself. She felt wet between her legs, slowly leaking, and she opened her hands slightly, making space for him.

The intoxicating blend of lavender and jasmine, her signature scent, mingled with the subtle musk of her skin, driving Raj wild with desire. He pushed his face into her neck and inhaled deeply. Gayatri loosened her hands completely. Raj, overwhelmed by her aroma, put his hands around her and rested his head on her shoulders. They were both lost in a world of pleasure. Raj planted kisses on her neck and shoulders, not missing an inch. His licking and kissing made Gayatri shudder, pushing her closer to him. He locked both her hands and kissed alternately on both shoulders and sides of her neck, licking everywhere. He tried to insert his tongue slightly into her cleavage, making her turn and twist in another world of enjoyment.

Gayatri’s breathing became faster as Raj’s lips moved gently up her neck. She instinctively placed her hands on his head, trying to stop him, but her resistance was weak. His kisses were slow and careful, making their way from her neck to the top of her blouse, dangerously close to her cleavage. She shivered with a mix of fear and guilt but also something she didn’t want to admit—an unfamiliar feeling of being desired.

Raj paused at the edge of her blouse, where the fabric tightened across her chest, preventing him from going further. He pulled back slightly, his eyes falling on her cleavage—the soft curves of her breasts just visible beneath her saree. Instead, she slowly brought her hand up and gently placed it over his eyes, trying to block his gaze.

“Raj…” she whispered, her voice shaking.

Her touch was soft, not forceful. She wasn’t really pushing him away, but rather asking him to stop without fully rejecting him. It was a quiet plea, as if she too was caught in the confusion of what they were doing. She couldn’t bring herself to push him away completely, but she wasn’t ready to let him continue either. Raj took a deep breath, feeling her hand on his face. He understood her silent message. For a moment, he closed his eyes under her hand, trying to gather control over his racing heart and the desire burning inside him. Slowly, he lifted her hand from his eyes, holding it for a second before letting go.

Without saying anything, Raj knelt down in front of her. His eyes moved to her waist, where her saree hugged her body tightly, hiding the part of her he longed to see—her navel. His breath quickened as he gently reached for her saree, carefully moving it aside to reveal her soft, smooth skin. Gayatri’s body tensed as the cool air touched her bare midriff. She closed her eyes, her heart pounding. Raj’s eyes locked on her navel, mesmerized by its perfect shape, something he had dreamed of seeing up close for so long.

Slowly, Raj leaned forward and pressed his lips gently to her navel, kissing it softly. The warmth of her skin made his heart race. His breath was hot as he softly blew air over her navel before kissing it again, completely lost in the moment. Gayatri gasped, her body reacting to the sensation, even though she knew this was wrong. Her mind screamed for her to stop him, but her body betrayed her, unable to resist the way his touch made her feel. The guilt and confusion were overwhelming, but so was the pleasure she hadn’t expected.

Suddenly, they heard the sound of Siva's two-wheeler approaching. Both snapped back to reality. Gayatri pushed Raj away and turned towards the stove, her breath ragged. She quickly checked her neck, cleavage, and navel, wiping away Raj’s lingering saliva with her hands.

Siva entered the house and started a conversation with Raj. The rest of the evening passed without further surprises. After dinner, Raj bid them goodbye and left.

After Raj left, the tension lingered between Gayatri and Siva.

Siva: "It was nice having Raj here. He's really been a good help lately."

Gayatri: "Yes, he has."

She tried to maintain a calm demeanor, hiding the turmoil inside her.

Siva: "You seem tired. Why don’t you go and rest? I’ll clean up here."

Gayatri: "Thank you. I think I will."

She retreated to the bedroom, her mind racing. The lines between guilt and desire blurred, and she struggled to make sense of her feelings. Raj's touch still lingered on her skin, a forbidden thrill she couldn't shake.

Raj, on his way home, couldn't stop thinking about Gayatri.

Raj (to himself): "What a day… I need to be careful. This can't go on, but... I can't resist her. I need to control myself."

His mind replayed every moment, torn between guilt and longing.

The next day, Gayatri decided to focus on her family, trying to suppress her thoughts about Raj.

Gayatri (to herself): "I need to be strong. This can’t happen again. Siva and Chintu are my world."

But deep down, she knew the line they had crossed could never be uncrossed. The unspoken tension would always be there, simmering just below the surface.
