I said, "We were running a little late. I left her in the shower. You should help her pick her clothes for your shopping trip. She told me earlier, she didn't know what to wear. The trip to the plant was uneventful after the initial awkwardness between Walt and me dissipated. At first, the uneasy feelings hung between us in the air, like a physical thing.
Finally, I decided that I had to get Walt to talk about it or he would never be comfortable again. I asked, "Did you enjoy being with Linda?"
He looked at me and after a long pause, he said, "You do realize that we had sex, don't you, Luke?
I slapped his knee and answered, "Well, I know that it was Linda's intent to fuck your eyes out. I had assumed that you would at least allow her to try."
He continued looking at me. He asked, "Did you have sex with Liz?"
I quietly answered, "Of course I did Walt. Switching partners for sex was the upfront plan, for this whole weekend. Liz was very much turned on for it and I was too. I was sure you knew the plan."

I assured him that I had.
We rode quietly together for a few miles. At length, Walt asked, "How is this going to affect our business relationship?"
I answered, "I don't know. We haven't signed contracts yet on our new deal. If you decide you want to back out, I will understand. If you need time to think about it, I will understand that too."
He answered, "Luke, the contracts that are in my briefcase are important for my company and yours too. I need you to produce the assemblies for me. I don't know of another firm that could serve me as well as you have. I know that the work is valuable to your company."
I replied, "I agree but if this is going to turn out badly, now is the time to end our relationship."
Walt replied, "We are businessmen. If we can both agree as gentlemen, I propose that we sign the contracts and each of us hold up our end of the bargain, to completion." He paused then added, "No matter what."
I thought for a moment and then said, "I can agree to that, Walt. I believe you will do your part. Do you believe I will?"
He replied, "Certainly, I do." We shook hands and continued on our journey. While I couldn't get Liz completely out of my mind, I did turn my attention to the business at hand. I think Walt did the same thing. He seemed to have put his anxieties and the tension between us aside for the time being.
Alice met us as we walked into the reception area of my offices. She said, "Mr. Zimmerman's people arrived about two hours ago. Mr. Barns has given them a golf cart tour of the plant and introduced them to our key people. We have provided them with refreshments and they have all been visiting in the conference room for the past twenty minutes.
I asked Walt, "How many people have you brought?"
He answered, "Six, but two of them don't count. They are just lawyers. I brought my V.P., my Chief of Procurement and my Chief of Security. Alice's opposite number is here also. They have known each other by phone for a while now, but I thought a face to face meeting would be a good thing."
I laughed and then asked Alice, "Are the people I requested all in there?"
She replied, "They are, Sir. I only came out to meet you and Mr. Zimmerman." For Walt's information, she continued, "We asked these people to attend." She handed him a written list. She said, "They include the three managers from the foundry, machine shop and the assembly building. In addition, there is our Chief of Security and of course, myself. The last man on the list really doesn't count. He's just a lawyer." She laughed.
Alice went on, "After the signing, lunch will be in the main dining room in the assembly building. The entire complement of our company has been invited. That is sixty-eight people in addition to Mr. Bowman and me. The food has been catered. All three choices have been said to be unhealthy but they are what Texans eat. You will have your choice of BBQ brisket, chicken fried steak or fried chicken, each with the appropriate trimmings. The only alcohol in the dining room will be beer. If you want something stronger, it is only available in Mr. Bowman's office."
She continued, "Mr. Bowman will address the employees for just a few minutes. He will introduce you, Mr. Zimmerman, and then you may speak if you like. You might want to introduce your staff.
Everything went off according to Alice's plan. Walt and I were finished by two o'clock and on our way back to meet the girls. We talked about business for a few minutes and then agreed to put business on the back burner for the weekend.
Walt finally just blurted out, "I want to watch."
I gave him a questioning look.
He said, "I want to watch Liz having sex with you."
I replied, "I don't have a problem with that if it is okay with Liz."
He said, "I don't want her to know I am watching." He paused and then continued, "I have pictured it in my mind a thousand times, Luke. It really turns me on. I want to see it for real, without inhibiting her."
I answered, "Linda and I enjoy watching each other when we have the chance. In fact, we have recently modified our pool house at the ranch for that purpose."
He asked, "Can we go to your ranch for tomorrow and tomorrow night?"
I answered, "Of course we can. That would be better than hanging around the motel all weekend anyway. Just mention that you want to see the ranch while all of us are together."
Tell Linda what you want to do. She will help."
Walt replied, "Let's call that a plan."
We arrived back at the motel but the girls weren't there. I fixed a stiff drink for each of us and we kicked off our shoes and sat together in the small common room.
I said, "I wish we hadn't done the quickie this morning. It would have been better if we had waited. I would be in a state of high anticipation by now. I love the wonder of the situation that Liz has instilled in me.
Walt answered, "Oh no, Luke. I needed that quickie. It did away with the anxiety I had of being with your Linda. I feared that I wouldn't be able to perform for her. I know now that we will enjoy each other for the rest of the weekend."
I chuckled and said, "Linda brings out the best in men. You are going to be surprised at how well you can perform."
It was his turn to laugh. He said, "I think you are right. I got an erection every time I thought about her today." He paused and continued, "I had another fear. I was afraid that you would be jealous. We are different inside, Luke. I want you to have sex with Liz. I want to watch if I can and then I will want her to give me a blow-by-blow description of what happens between the two of you. Sex with her will be special for me after this." There was another short pause before he continued. He said, "Still, deep down, I am jealous of her need for you."
I said, "Wow. That was a good way to say it. You pretty much described my deep feelings about Linda. I wish she didn't have the desire for other men and sometimes those feelings rise to some level of Jealousy."
Walt then asked, "How do you handle it so well? It seems so easy for you."
I replied, "It is easier for me now than it was in the beginning. We have learned much since we opened our marriage. I know that when the time the four of us are together is over, Linda will go home with me. We will not love each other less and our life together will go on as before. Ask Linda to explain our hall pass system to you and how all this got started. She likes to talk. She will explain it much better than I could. She once told me that you and Liz were swingers that hadn't started swinging yet. I think she was right. I believe that the two of you will broaden your horizons even more in the near future. I think our system might work for you."
The girls walked in. Linda bent down and kissed my cheek but then walked straight to Walt and settled easily onto his lap. Liz sat with me and whispered in my ear. She said, "I can't wait until bedtime." The monster moved.
I caught Linda looking at me. In a voice that was soft but loud enough to hear, she said, "Luke, I love you so much for letting me have this man. He was so good to me this morning."
Liz whispered again, "He isn't as good as you." I knew Liz was just polishing my ego. The monster moved again anyway and both of my heads swelled a little.
Linda made it clear that we were to refrain from sex until after the trip to the club. She says the club is more fun when everyone is horny.
