Adultery The Saffron & The Onyx
#16
The morning light was a cruel, clinical white, bleeding through the gaps in the blinds and carving harsh lines across the rumpled sheets. Sep lay perfectly still, her body a map of the previous night’s transgressions. Her breasts were flattened against the mattress, the skin sensitive and warm; her back was cooled by a fine, drying sheen of sweat that felt like a secondary skin. Between her thighs, she felt a heavy, throbbing ache—an inflamed, undeniable reminder of the masculine pounding Vicky had administered.

She had never felt so physically decimated, nor so utterly satisfied.

Then, like a splash of ice water, a single thought pierced the post-coital haze: The pill. In the intoxicating rush of Vicky’s dominance, the careful structure of her life had collapsed. She wasn't on birth control. The memory of his heavy, hot release filling her—twice—transformed from a carnal triumph into a ticking clock.

In the living room, the world was tilting. Reza blinked, his eyelids feeling as though they were lined with sand. His head was clamped in a relentless vice, a throbbing rhythm that pulsed behind his eyes with every beat of his heart.

His sleep had been deep, but it hadn't been peaceful. Lurid, fragmented echoes haunted his hangover: the rhythmic thud-thud-thud of a headboard punishing a wall, the sound of wet skin slapping in a frantic cadence, and a voice—Sep’s voice—reaching a pitch of desperation he had never heard. “Fuck meee!” The scream echoed in his mind, a harrowing ghost of a memory that felt too vivid to be a dream.

"Fuck," he croaked, his throat feeling like he’d swallowed a handful of dry gravel.

He realized with a jolt that he was on Vicky’s suede sofa. The sunlight struck his face like a physical blow. He squinted, prying himself upright as his stomach performed a slow, sickening roll. He scanned the room, then the kitchen. Empty. Silence.

"Sep?" he whispered, the name catching in his dry throat. Panic, sharp and cold, began to cut through the fog of the whiskey.

Just as he prepared to stand, a door at the end of the hallway clicked open. Reza froze. Sep stepped out, and for a moment, the world stopped spinning. She was wearing the same black top and plaid skirt from the night before, but the "Persian Queen" was disheveled. Her dark hair was a bird’s nest of tangles, her makeup smudged into smoky shadows beneath her eyes. Yet, there was a radiance to her skin—a flushed, honeyed glow that spoke of a body recently awakened.

"How are you feeling?" she asked, her voice soft, carrying a trace of an apologetic lilt.

"Rough," Reza managed, his voice a broken rasp. He looked at her, his mental bandwidth entirely consumed by the crushing weight of his headache. "I guess... I slept on the couch." He paused, the obvious question finally clawing its way to the surface. "Where did you sleep?"

Sep had made her choice the moment she crossed the threshold of that bedroom. She stood tall, her gaze unflinching despite the crimson creeping up her neck.

"I slept in Vicky’s room, Reza."

The sentence hit him like a kinetic strike. The air left his lungs. "What... what do you mean you slept in his room?"

"I slept in his room," Sep repeated, the honesty a brutal, jagged edge. She took a breath, the words falling like stones. "I let him fuck me."

The silence that followed was absolute. The hangover haze evaporated, replaced by a cold, crystalline shock that nailed Reza to the cushions. He winced, his face flushing a deep, humiliated red. He leaned forward, his hands trembling on his knees, unable to process the sheer scale of the betrayal—or the dark, familiar spark of excitement that flickered, unbidden, in his gut.

Sep moved toward him, kneeling on the carpet. She placed a hand on his knee, her touch a grounding wire. "Baby. I love you," she whispered, looking into his pained eyes. "But I had sex with him. I need to get to the pharmacy, right now. We can talk on the way, or you can wait next door."

Before Reza could find a single word, the bedroom door opened again.

Vicky stepped into the hall, and the contrast was devastating. He was shirtless, his obsidian skin glistening, his chiseled, muscle-bound frame the literal antithesis of Reza’s soft, sedentary physique. He moved with the relaxed, predatory grace of a man who had spent the night conquering. Reza’s eyes dropped instinctively to the white boxers Vicky wore—and the massive, unmistakable bulge that strained against the fabric.

The reality of it—the sheer physical presence of the man who had been inside his wife—made Reza’s stomach heave again.

"There he is," Vicky’s voice boomed, casual and deep. "How you feeling, man?"

Reza was aghast. The casualness of the tone was its own kind of humiliation. "Like shit," he muttered.

Vicky chuckled, the sound rich and unbothered. "I've been there." He moved to the kitchen, pulling mugs from the cupboard with effortless strength. "Want some coffee? I’m brewing a fresh pot."

"No thanks," Reza said, finding the strength to stand. His head spun violently. "I'll... I'll grab one next door."

Sep stood with him, her arm wrapping around his waist to steady him. She led him toward the exit, her heart heavy with the weight of the night and the urgency of the morning.

They didn't make it across the hallway. As soon as the cool air of the corridor hit him, Reza’s body revolted. He doubled over, expunging the remnants of the whiskey and his pride onto the carpet. Sep winced, rubbing his back as he retched, hoping—perhaps selfishly—that as he purged the alcohol, they could somehow purge the wreckage of their old life and start finding a way through the new one.
