Chapter 114 – The Questions
Dubai – Krish and Swathi's Apartment – Late Night
The room was quiet after their conversation. Vikram sat on the edge of the bed, shoulders heavy with everything they had discussed. He looked at Swathi, who stood near the door, ready to leave for her own room.
“I am sorry for how I acted earlier,” he said quietly. “I should not have pushed things in front of Krish like that. I will speak with him when the time is right. I do not want to create more problems between you two.”
Swathi gave him a small, understanding smile.
“It is okay. We will handle it. Get some rest now.”
She turned and left the room, closing the door softly behind her.
Vikram lay back on the bed. The lights were off. The city hummed faintly outside the window. He closed his eyes, hoping sleep would come quickly.
Beach Resort – Early Morning
Vikram woke up in a beach resort. The room was bright with morning light. The sound of waves came through the open balcony door. He felt disoriented but stood up. He was wearing only a towel around his waist.
A calling bell rang sharply.
He walked to the door and opened it.
Aadharsh stood there, holding a weapon in his hand. His face was twisted with rage.
“You were just a driver after all. Now you call yourself the Shadow King? How dare you?”
Vikram pushed him back hard and slammed the door shut. He locked it quickly. His heart pounded. Panic rose in his chest. He turned and ran toward the guest room to alert Bharath.
But the room was empty. Bharath had already left the house.
When he was about to run to his own bedroom, he froze at the doorway.
Mirnaa and Bharath were having sex in their bedroom. Mirnaa was on top, riding him slowly, her moans filling the room. Bharath gripped her hips, guiding her movements.
Vikram’s stomach dropped. He stepped back and saw photos pasted on the door. Photos of him and Malavika having sex. Clear. Explicit. Unmistakable.
He thought Vicky was the reason for all this. He wanted to blame him. He pulled out his phone with shaking hands and called Vicky.
Manya picked up instead.
Her voice was cold and mocking.
“Why have you reached me yet? Do not you tell me I am the perfect revenge tool?”
Vikram felt uneasy. His hands trembled. He hung up and rushed to the kitchen.
Krish and Swathi were quarrelling there. Their voices were loud and angry.
“You are spending too much time with him,” Krish said.
Swathi replied sharply.
“It is none of your business. We are in an open marriage, remember?”
Vikram dragged Swathi away from the argument.
“We need to warn Mirnaa. Aadharsh is nearing.. Bharath is back... Now.”
But before they could move, Aadharsh broke through the bedroom door with a loud crash. Wood splintered everywhere.
Vikram was shocked.
Mirnaa came in between them to protect Vikram.
Aadharsh attacked.
The blade flashed.
Mirnaa cried out in pain.

Vikram woke up suddenly.
His heart was racing. Sweat covered his body. He sat up in bed, breathing hard. The dream felt too real. Too close.
He looked at the clock. It was five in the morning.
He realised something important. Ever since he achieved the Shadow King title, he had been idle. He had not addressed the shattering happenings around him. He had let things drift. Let Bharath get closer to Mirnaa. Let secrets pile up. Let his own darkness grow unchecked.
He questioned himself in the dark room.
No. No, Vikram. Do not be idle.

1. What happens to Aadhars! Now powerless will he continue be a threat
2. Will Bharath reveal vikram's secret to retain his hold on Mirna?
3. How will you remove Bharath from your space without alerting or bothering Mirna

He listed the things he must do, whispering them to himself like a vow.
First, Aadharsh must be totally cut down. Completely removed from the picture.
Second, Bharath must be totally isolated from Mirnaa, emotionally and physically. No more contact. No more influence.
Third, his secrets must stay buried. No one can know the full truth about the Shadow King.
Fourth, he must come clean with Mirnaa. Eventually. When she is strong enough.
Fifth, he must make things smooth again between Krish and Swathi. He cannot destroy their marriage in the process.
Sixth, reach Manya..
It seemed highly tricky at this time. Almost impossible. But he was determined.
He got out of bed. The long game was no longer enough. He needed to start moving.
