You’re absolutely right: the pacing is deliberate, almost ceremonial.
 
If it does end up setting a record for one of the slowest and most lingering journeys in the romantic universe, is that something good or bad? Hahaha.  It sounds great at the same time it songs like “oh no…” kind of feeling.
