Chapter 73 – Threads Pulling Tight
Prem’s phone buzzed on the hotel nightstand — sharp, insistent.
Vikram.
He snatched it up before the second ring.
“Prem.”
“Vikram. Tell me.”
“I’ve initiated the cyber probe. Deep. Servers are bleeding data already. Within hours — maybe less — I’ll have full logs of Rohan’s under-the-table dealings. Financial trails, encrypted chats, the works. Once I have it, he’s ours to control. Or destroy.”
Prem exhaled slow. The room felt smaller, the pale gold sunrise now harsh.
“Thank you. What do you need from me?”
“Go back to Chennai. Lay low. Act normal. The moment I pull something concrete — proof that ties him to the manipulation, the affairs, the business siphoning — I’ll send it straight to you. Then we decide the next move.”
Prem nodded to the empty room.
“Done. I’m heading out soon.”
Vikram’s voice dropped — almost gentle.
“Stay calm, Prem. We’re close.”

Prem sat on the edge of the bed. Laptop still open, files glowing like accusations. He felt something shift inside — not relief yet, but momentum. Dangerous momentum.

“I thought Rohan had some bigger motive. I got the answer.”
Nitin’s breath caught. “What’s the answer, man?”
“Listen carefully. Rohan and Aadhil — college mates. Back then, they did a DP with a girl named Kanmani. She approached them to punish her lover who was eyeing other women. But the guys got the kick. Tried several women after — nothing stuck. Only one could bang them at a time. Then Aadhil — Rohan’s partner now — used his ex-lover to fulfill their DP fantasy. She blocked them, got into an accident. Her husband — Vikram — divorced her. And now Vikram is helping us take revenge on them.”

Also — the cyber attack will shake their stability. Worst case, they cut links from our wives’ businesses and stick to their other ventures.”
Nitin exhaled.
“It sounds good.”
“Just track what Nivi and Vani are doing. Don’t alert them. Just watch. Quietly.”
“Sure thing.”

“Where’s Nivi?”

“Rohan is in Chennai, I think. Aadhil went to Mumbai.”

“Where are you? Everything okay?”
She eloborated how Nitin questioned her and her life about Rohan at Chennai office.
Reply came quick.
“Already in Chennai. Just came out of airport.. Don’t panic.”
Vani stared at the screen.
A big schema was moving behind the scenes.
Did Prem know something already? Rohan mind screamed.
He reached his Chennai office. Slid into the chair. Screens lit up.
Minutes later — text from Nitin to Prem.
“Vani at home with Aara. Rohan at office. Nivi gone for business meet — location unknown. Aadhil in Mumbai. All cross-checked.”
Rohan read it twice.
