Chapter 69 – Aadhil declares we are not monsters, we just had fantasy
Outside on the rooftop balcony, the night was warm and still — only the rhythmic crash of waves far below and the occasional rustle of palm fronds in the breeze.
Rohan and Aadhil stood naked — skin silvered by moonlight, water bottle in hand, phones pressed to their ears.
They had left Nivi inside — nude under the thin bedsheet, face buried in her hands, breathing uneven.
The call came through on Rohan’s phone — a low, tense voice on the other end.
“Rohan… it’s me.”
Rohan — voice low — “Talk fast.”
The informer — “Vikram collected details on you both. He’s talking. Prem would probably know about Kanmani and Aashika by now.”
Rohan’s grip tightened on the bottle — knuckles whitening.
Aadhil — silent until now — leaned closer, listening.
The informer continued — “Vikram’s been painting you as monsters. He’s got hospital records, old messages… he’s ready to hand it over.”
Rohan — controlled — “How much does Prem know?”
Informer — “Not sure. But he called Vikram two hours back. Long conversation.”
Rohan exchanged a look with Aadhil — eyes hard.
“Thanks for the heads-up. Keep following. We’ll take care here.”
He hung up.
Silence — thick, dangerous.
Aadhil spoke first — voice low, almost amused.
“We are not monsters. We are just everybody else who had a sexual fantasy.”
He took a slow sip of water — eyes on the dark sea.
“We didn’t force Kanmani. She was the one who called us for revenge. When we went to her back thinking she would want it — the DP — but she refused. It became trouble when she complained.”
Aadhil continued “Similarly we tried a few individually. But before the topic arose, they shut us down. I tried it with my ex-lover Aashika. I thought people in love would accept it… but she panicked and ran.”
Aadhil — “And because she ran, she got into an accident — fell, broke her leg. If she had stayed inside and said she wasn’t interested… we wouldn’t have touched her.”
He looked at Rohan — eyes narrowing.
“I hate people painting us bad. And for eight years till now… we didn’t try it again. Individually we bedded many. It’s just… Nivi looked beautiful. We loved this fantasy. We decided to pull a string.”
Rohan set his bottle down — hard.
“There’s no use explaining yourself to the informer. He’s not a judge.”
He looked back toward the glass wall — the bedroom dimly lit, Nivi’s shape visible under the sheet.
Aadhil — “If Prem had known now… he would have called and informed her. Looks like she has no idea.”
Rohan — quiet — “We still have a chance. But no more patience game. We should convince her tonight.”
He turned — eyes dark.
“Take calm and careful steps. Seduce her.”
Aadhil nodded — slow.
“The first thing when we enter — take her mobile. Put it on silent.”
Rohan — “Exactly.”
He looked at the glass wall again — Nivi still curled, face hidden.
“Twelve years long itch. Let’s go in.”
Aadhil followed — both stepping back into the bedroom.
The door closed behind them — soft click.
