Chapter 68 – The Call to Vikram & The Midnight Silence
The night… Mercedes rolled to a smooth stop in front of the villa — engine ticking as it cooled, the sound of waves rolling in the near distance.
Rohan killed the ignition.
Nivi stirred in the back seat — eyes fluttering open, disoriented for a moment.
Rohan turned — smiled softly.
“We’re here.”
She sat up — hair mussed, cheeks still flushed from sleep.
Rohan stepped out first — opened her door, offered a hand.
She took it — legs unsteady from the long drive.
They walked inside together — the villa quiet, air-conditioned coolness hitting them like a sigh.
Rohan led the way up the curved staircase — directly to the rooftop bedroom suite.
Floor-to-ceiling glass on three sides — sea view endless.
King bed already turned down.
Rohan pulled out his phone — scrolled — dialed.
Nivi froze mid-step.
Aadhil were are you?
Her heart lurched — panicked.
Is he speaking for real?
She looked at Rohan — eyes wide.
Rohan — casual — put the phone on speaker.
Aadhil’s voice came through — relaxed, amused.
“Just grabbing some things from the car. Be up in five.”
Rohan — “Good. We’re in the rooftop bedroom.”
He hung up.
Nivi — voice small — “You’re… really doing this?”
Rohan stepped close — cupped her face.
“We’re just talking tonight. Nothing more unless you want it.”
She searched his eyes — found only calm certainty.
She nodded — barely.
Cut to Another Hotel – Cochin
Prem sat on the edge of the hotel bed — room 333, mid-range, anonymous.
His phone buzzed — unknown number.
He answered — heart rate spiking.
“Prem?”
A deep voice — calm, measured.
“Yes.”
“Vikram. I’m just below. Where should I come?”
Prem — “Room 333. Come up.”
Minutes later — a knock.
Prem opened the door.
Vikram stood there — late 40s, tall, sharp suit, eyes tired but alert.
“So you’re Prem.”

Vikram — “I need to hear their story. Get proof. So I can alert my wife… and my friend’s wife.”

“I can give you proof.”

Hospital record — scan of a discharge summary.
Aashika — age 28 at the time — leg broken in two places after falling from a hilltop road.
Prem — confused — “What is this?”
Vikram — voice flat — “It was the doing of Rohan and Aadhil.”
Prem — shocked — “What was it? How did this happen?”
Vikram — “How is my wife now? Divorced. I divorced her.”
Prem — “Can you please give me the full story?”
Vikram leaned back — eyes distant.
“It’s 8 years back. I was happily married to Aashika. I never knew she was once in love with Aadhil.
They were college sweethearts. She told me — after marriage — that she loved him once. But we were good. Stable.”
He paused — voice hardening.
“One day Aadhil came back into her life. She could not forget him. They started the affair — unknown to me. It would have ended harmless… if Rohan hadn’t joined.”
Prem — “Rohan?”
Vikram — “Aadhil introduced me to Rohan. I thought old friends reunited. Business alliance. Family ties. I never suspected.”
He continued — slower.
“This is what Madhavan must have told you. Ever since the Kanmani episode… they looked for double penetration. They eyed various women… but none came to them. Rohan had plenty of money — the family I married into and my family are friends. Natural alliance. But they abused it.”

He opened another file on his phone — handed it to Prem.
“Every dot connected. Rohan’s business links. His life. His wife. Aadhil’s connection — even in Bangalore.”

Vikram said I used all my contacts to get things done for you..
Vikram was about to tell prem that right now Aaadhil, rohan and Nivi are not in town.. But he hides it because he had better plans.. Better plans to shut them once for all..
Prem — voice hard — “They’re done.”
Vikram — “Wait. This is not enough. Let’s unplug all the projects they are doing. While they are distracted… we need to act.”
Prem — “Yes. Let’s meet someone tomorrow. Start tomorrow itself.”
Vikram — “Good night.”
They retired.
Prem went back to his room in Cochin — looked at the roof.
“Nivi… just wait for a few more days. I will unmask them. You will leave them if you are still mine. Until then… stay pure.”
