Chapter 53 – The Rise of Vani
Rohan and Aadhil's Private Pact (Night Before Vani's First "Business" Lunch)
Rohan sat in the dim light of his study — glass of whiskey in hand.
Aadhil was on video call — tie loosened, city skyline behind him.
Rohan — voice low — "Nivi can't know about our moves yet. Not until she's ready."
Aadhil nodded — "Understood. She’s still fragile. We break her gently."
Rohan — "Vani is the risk. She’s a mole with a conscience. She can flip either way."
Aadhil smiled — slow, predatory.
"Tomorrow I’m taking her to the rooftop. Let me assess her… and break her."

Video call — Aadhil in a private jet, city lights below.
"Tomorrow noon — private club. Black tie. I'll send a dress to your home. Wear it."

Aadhil — "This is business. Tell him it's a client dinner. He'll understand when he sees the commission check next month. Or else just hide from him. I will send it to your office. Nivi won't feel odd."

The dress arrived — midnight blue, backless, clinging to every curve.
At the club — velvet ropes, dim lights, jazz in the background.
Aadhil handed her a card.
"Open account. 5% of every deal goes straight here. No questions."
Vani — eyes shining — "You're serious."
She laughed at it.
"I'm not sure why money has been doing this to me..."
Aadhil asked — "What exactly is your issue? I know something is troubling you. Share with me — I can provide a solution if it can be."
Vani paused — then opened up.
"I got married into a rich family — Nitin. His step-brothers cheated him. We came out struggling to make ends meet. Now I'm shining... but Nitin won't be happy. I will hide all my money from him for now."
Aadhil listened — eyes soft.
"You're rising, Vani. Leave the old life behind. Align with me — I'll take you higher."
Vani — "And what do I do for you?"
Aadhil — "Can you pretend to be my girlfriend today?"

"There is my ex. Don't look at them. I want to make her jealous."
