Alex (Son): Age 18, high college senior. Shy, skinny, not very athletic. He gets bullied a lot, especially after the 'cockson' incident. He feels humiliated but hides it from his mom. He has a secret crush on some girls but is too embarrassed to act.

Lisa (Mother): Age 32, innocent and kind teacher. She is sweet, always helps others, and doesn't suspect the bullying at first. She has long brown hair, wears simple dresses, and is very caring towards her son. She starts as a new English teacher at the college.

Jake (Main Bully): Age 18, big and strong football player. Leader of the bully group. He starts the 'cockson' nickname after humiliating Alex in the locker room.

Tyler and Mike (Bully Friends): Both age 18, follow Jake. They laugh at Alex and join in the teasing.

Sarah (Classmate): Age 18, pretty girl in Alex's class. She sees the bullying but doesn't join in. Maybe she feels sorry for him.
