I just wanted to mention that today exactly one year ago (11th December 2024), I started writing this story. I have my story saved somewhere in a word file with me and it tells me I have 377,573 words in the story. Google tells me that a large novel has around 70,000 and 120,000 words on average. So give or take 3 large novels.

At 99 posts in the year, I was giving one new post roughly every 3.5 days. Some smaller initially, but some larger later, and two posts had parts A, B, C.

I don't have a count of clear count of images and gifs, but an average of 5 per post give it around 495 images and gifs. Since I am very specific about the pics I use for my story, it took countless hours to search and also edit / make some through AI.

I don't know how much time I spent writing the story, but the site tells me I spent around 3 weeks here. Even if I remove 30 mins of browsing time in this site a day (reading comments, other stories etc.), the total writing time is around 320 hours. An average job at 8 hours for 250 days is like 2000 hours, so this was 16% of a full time job. Actual writing time was likely more than that because for quite a bit I was writing in word and then pasting it here.

Also countless hours spent thinking about the plot of the story and how to write it usually, before going to sleep, on my way to work / home, in any sort of free time
