## Update 184: The New Sanctuary (Avi and Kiran, Meena Chachi)
I went straight from the hotel where I'd met Karim to the house of my old friend. *(This friend was a boy I had met when I used to come to the city with Chacha to sell mangoes sometimes. I went directly to him for help.)*
I explained to him that I needed a rental house immediately. It had to be located in a respectable society but for a very low monthly price. He immediately made two or three calls on my behalf.
I needed this rental house to finally have sex with Soniya and Heena without fear of interruption.
We soon went to see the house. It was situated in a new society that hadn't seen much construction yet. The area was quiet and felt safe. Crucially for me, there weren't many neighbors. The house itself was simple: one bedroom, a kitchen, and a hall. The bathroom was conveniently attached to the bedroom. There was some furniture already inside, left behind by the landlord. I secured the house for a rent of four thousand per month.
The house had already been cleaned, meaning I didn't have much to do. A basic bed was in the bedroom, and a sofa with a table was in the hall. Still, I spent two hours cleaning every surface, making it truly mine. I bought a few necessary items and arranged them.
The landlord lived in another city, which was quite far away, so there was no tension of him dropping by. I could bring anyone here I wanted; there was no one to stop me.
I locked the house *(I decided to call this city house "house2" and my village home "house")* and returned to the village.
I casually mentioned to Meena Chachi that I had rented a house in the city. Meena Chachi didn't question me at all, she simply told me to take care of myself.
My entire mood was ruined today. I still couldn't understand what intricate game Heena and Soniya were trying to play. To calm my frustrated mind, I decided to go out for a long walk. As I wandered through the village lanes, I found myself near the house of Principal Sir.
I suddenly thought, *"Let's go meet Sir. It's been a long time since I saw Sir and Kiran."*
I knocked on the gate. Kiran opened it, her face lighting up with genuine happiness when she saw me. I stepped inside the compound.
"Where is Sir?" I looked around the yard.
"He went to the city for a conference," Kiran secured the gate. "He will come back tomorrow evening."
"That means you're alone at home tonight?" I let the implication sink in, a slow smile spreading across my face.
"Yes, just me," Kiran smiled softly, confirming the solitude.
"You won't even offer me anything to drink, Kiran?" I walked toward the verandah, resting my hand on the back of a wicker chair.
"Wait," Kiran said immediately, her eyes bright. "I'll make you tea right away."
Kiran went into the kitchen. I quickly took out my mobile and called Meena Chachi.
"Chachi, listen," I murmured into the phone. "I'm not coming home tonight."
"Where are you going to be, Avi?" Meena Chachi's voice was cautious.
"I'm staying at Sir's house tonight," I informed her.
"Okay," Meena Chachi said, her tone suddenly understanding. "I'll tell Didi that you're staying at Sir's house and studying."
"I'm here with Kiran," I clarified my situation, lowering my voice further. "Sir went to the city and won't be back until tomorrow."
"I understood completely," Meena Chachi whispered back, a knowing laugh in her voice. "I'll handle things here. You just have fun, Avi."
"Thanks, Chachi," I replied, a rush of excitement hitting me.
Kiran came back a moment later, carrying the hot tea. She placed it on the table.
"So, what's the plan for the rest of the evening?" I took a sip, looking up at her with direct intensity.
"Nothing much. Just the usual," Kiran fidgeted with the edge of her *saree*.
"What do you want to do, staying all alone at home throughout this long night?" I leaned forward, pitching my voice low.
"What *can* I do?" A genuine sadness crossed Kiran's face. "My luck is so bad, what can I even say about it?"
"What exactly happened to your luck?" I pressed gently, reaching out to touch the back of her hand.
"Is the luck of someone whose husband works in another city and only comes home once a year not bad, Avi?" she lamented, pulling her hand away slowly.
"Why complain?" I said, trying to cheer her up. "I'm right here now, aren't I?"
"For how long can you stay with me, though?" Kiran asked, her voice filled with longing. "You also have your own life to live and plans to make."
"I can stay with you sometimes," I offered, my thumb tracing a slow pattern on the table.
"Yes, you can," she sighed, "but..."
"But what, Kiran?"
"You only come for an hour or two, and then you quickly leave," she looked at me, her eyes heavy.
"What more am I allowed to do than just visit?" I asked, looking down at my hands.
"What you have done for me is already more than enough," Kiran said softly, her voice filled with gratitude. "I'm not angry with *you*. You have completely quenched my thirst when no one else could. I am mad at my husband's choices."
"Your husband is a very good man," I defended Sir. "You shouldn't be mad at him."
"Why shouldn't I be mad at him?" she challenged, her voice rising slightly.
"Sir told me something," I revealed, keeping the surprise carefully measured. "He said that after his retirement, both you and he are going to move there with him."
"He didn't tell me anything like that!" Kiran looked completely taken aback. "And there's still a lot of time left before Babuji's retirement."
"So what?" I countered, reaching out and gently taking her hands. "Sir can take early retirement if he wants to. Now, please be happy, Kiran."
"But until that day comes, Avi?" she pleaded, her eyes searching mine.
"Until then, I am here, aren't I?" I squeezed her hands.
"Okay, fine," A slow, delighted smile transformed Kiran's face. "At least tonight, you are here with me."
"Come on, I'll tell you one more piece of happy news," I leaned close, my voice barely audible.
"What is it?" She gripped my hands tight, her eyes shining.
"I'm going to stay right here tonight," I announced, letting the full weight of the words settle.
"Truly? You'll stay here?" Kiran's breath hitched.
"Truly," I confirmed, my lund already hardening in anticipation of the long, solitary night ahead with Kiran.
