## Update 153: Mona's Thirst and Chachi's Gaze (Avi, Mona, Meena Chachi, and Suman Chachi)
The next day, after coming back from the city, I compensated for the hectic trip by sleeping for what felt like two or three days rolled into one night. I slowly eased back into my daily routine: wake up in the morning, do my exercise, go to Pooja Aunty's house, head to the fields in the evening, eat dinner, and go to sleep. The one significant change was the fact that Sital and Sweta Didi’s marriages were now fixed. Because of this new reality, I knew Sital and Sweta Didi wouldn't engage in sex with me anymore. They were now prospective brides for a respectable, wealthy family.
Sital, Sweta Didi, and Pooja Aunty had all stayed back in the city to meet Raj's Papa and finalize the arrangements. Riya hadn't returned from her maternal uncle’s village yet. I wasn't getting a chance to have sex with Rati either. This meant I was temporarily left with no one to satisfy my desires.
I finished my morning chores and headed to the fields. I arrived unusually early today. Only Chacha was present, sleeping inside the hut in the fields. I walked toward the mango orchard, spread a bedsheet under a shady tree, and immediately fell asleep, tired from the previous days' emotional expenditure.
After a long while, someone gently nudged me awake. The one who woke me up was Mona.
"Hey Mona, how did you come here?" I asked, sitting up, still groggy and slightly surprised.
"I have started working in the fields now," Mona replied, adjusting the cloth covering her head.
"What time is it right now?" I asked, rubbing the sleep from my eyes.
"It’s past 6:00 p.m.," Mona said, pointing toward the setting sun.
"What? It’s 6:00 p.m.?" I exclaimed, shocked. "That means I was sleeping for four straight hours!"
Even after getting ample sleep the night before, the sheer exhaustion from the mental strain of the past few days must have been immense. My head felt heavy, and my limbs were strangely numb from the deep, dead sleep. The realization that I had wasted an entire evening made a sharp, familiar jolt of desire run through me—a desire that had nowhere to go.
I splashed cool water from a nearby well onto my face to wake up.
"How is Kamala Kaki doing now?" I asked, wiping my face with my shirt.
"She’s fine now," Mona replied. "After resting for three or four more days, she will also return to work in the fields."
"You just got married, and you’ve already started working," I observed. *I was the one who directly told Kamala Kaki to send Mona to work in the fields, knowing her husband was away.*
"Everyone has their own destiny," Mona said, avoiding my gaze and picking up a tool.
"Where is your husband these days?" I asked. "Doesn't he work here in the village?"
"He goes to the city every day for work," Mona replied, beginning to weed a row.
"So you two are both earning money now," I noted.
"Yes," she confirmed simply.
"That's a good thing," I said. I switched the topic to something light. "But one thing: your wedding was a lot of fun. This was the first time such a loud, grand wedding happened in the whole village."
"Yes, *you* would have fun," she said cryptically, not looking up.
"Why?" I asked, walking closer. "You must have had fun too. You had your first night at such a young age."
Mona immediately changed the topic, her shoulders stiffening slightly. "I have to work, Avi," she said, her voice strained. "Let me work, please."
"Who is stopping you from working?" I asked, leaning against a tree.
"You aren't physically stopping me, but you’re wasting my time by talking," she said pointedly. "And if I don't work hard, your Chacha will fire me from my job."
"I'm here right now, so don't worry about that," I assured her, standing taller. "Chacha won't say anything to you. By the way, your body has really opened up after marriage, Mona." I let my eyes linger on her figure.
Mona didn't reply to me; she just kept her head down, intensely focused on her work. I sensed her discomfort and thought that I should leave her alone for now. I let her work and started walking home, my mind already formulating a plan.
*I think Mona didn't have fun on her 'first night.' How could she? She's already had her first night so many times before, and with me. Now her husband works far away in the city. That means he doesn't spend much time with Mona, and when he comes home, he's tired. Mona must be physically thirsty. That’s why Mona refused to even look at me or reply to my teasing. I’ll definitely have to do something to take care of Mona's thirst soon.*

When I got home, I went straight to Komal's house. Sweta Didi's laptop was still with Komal. This was the first time I had gone to Komal's house this late in the evening. We both sat down and started learning how to use the laptop's various functions. Late at night, I came home from Komal's house. Suman Chachi was sitting in the hall. As soon as I walked in, I pulled off my sweaty T-shirt, leaving my chest bare, which I knew was now better-defined from the exercise. Suman Chachi looked at my body and immediately called out to Meena Chachi.
"Meena, come here! Avi's body has become so strong and defined," Suman Chachi said, her voice filled with surprise.
"Yes, Didi," Meena Chachi replied, walking over with a knowing look.
"There's a real shine on Avi's body now," Suman Chachi observed, her gaze lingering.
"Yes," Meena Chachi replied, her voice slow and heavy with implication. "A shine that can attract anyone toward him, Didi."
"If Avi keeps exercising like this, he'll become a powerful wrestler soon," Suman Chachi mused, shaking her head.
"Avi is fine like this," Meena Chachi said quickly, dismissing the wrestling idea. "What will he do by becoming a simple wrestler?"
"That's true," Suman Chachi agreed. "What will he do by becoming a wrestler? But you did a good thing by telling Avi to start exercising, Meena."
"Didi, Avi is getting older and growing up now," Meena Chachi explained. "He absolutely should exercise. He needs to build his body to its full potential."
"Yes," Suman Chachi said, smiling. "Increase it well and make him a strong man."
"Didi, don't worry about Avi at all," Meena Chachi said, stepping closer to me, her voice full of ownership. "I'll take full, complete care of Avi and his body."
Suman Chachi and Meena Chachi kept talking about my body like this, their eyes fixed on me, as I stood there listening.
