## Update 152 C: The Double Engagement and the Farewell (Avi, Sweta Didi, Sital, and Bhabhi)
The parents returned, a sense of formal agreement now palpable in the room. Bhabhi took charge of the conversation, smiling broadly.
"We think we should get Rohan and Sohan married at the same time, together," Bhabhi announced. "Rohan can marry Sweta, and Sohan can marry Sital."
"We have absolutely no objection to that proposal," Pooja Bua said, her voice filled with relief. "What is Aunty's final decision, as the head of the household?"
"The children's choice is our choice, and their happiness is ours," Rohan's Mother replied, accepting the reality.
Pooja Bua immediately started whispering excitedly to Jyoti Bua and Neeta Bua, detailing the plans. She then called Raj's Papa once more to inform him of the spectacular, unexpected double match. Raj's Papa gave his immediate, enthusiastic permission over the phone.
"Let's get Sweta and Sital married together then, in a joint ceremony," Pooja Bua finalized.
"Yes," Bhabhi agreed. "We were thinking the same. Sohan will finish his engineering studies next year. The year after that, Rohan and Sweta’s studies will also be completed. As soon as Rohan's studies are finished, we’ll hold the joint wedding."
"What about Sital Didi's studies?" I asked, cutting through the marriage talk with a practical concern.
"Sital will continue her studies after marriage; there will be no stop to that," Bhabhi assured me. She then turned to the quiet girl. "What have you thought, Sital? Are you happy with this timeline?"
Sital just nodded yes, her face burning with a deep blush. The weight of her future suddenly settled on her, and she quickly got up and went out of the hall, overcome with shyness.
"Sital is completely blushing," Bhabhi said, chuckling softly at the sight.
"I'll go see Sital and comfort her," Sweta Didi offered, moving to stand up.
"Didi, you stay right here with Rohan," I said, putting a gentle hand on her shoulder. "I'll go bring Sital Didi back."
I walked out to find Sital in the spacious corridor, her back to me.
"Sital, are you truly, deeply happy about this decision?" I asked, my voice low and concerned, searching her eyes for any hint of hesitation.
"Yes, Avi," she said, finally turning to face me.
"You said yes after thinking very carefully, right? This is a huge life choice," I pressed.
"Yes, I did," she replied, her gaze steady.
"But you told me recently that you didn't want to get married yet," I reminded her, frowning slightly.
"I didn't exactly say that," she corrected me, a hint of her familiar smile returning. "And how was I supposed to know that Sohan would propose to me like that, in front of everyone, making it impossible to say no later?"
"Did you say yes only for Sweta Didi's happiness?" I asked, my voice dropping lower. "Did you feel that if you said no to Sohan, it might somehow jeopardize Rohan and Sweta Didi's marriage?"
"I didn't think like that, Avi," she said, her voice earnest. "I said yes after seeing Rohan’s intense love for Sweta Didi. Sohan is Rohan's brother; he must be a lot like him. And most importantly, by getting married into this house, Sweta Didi and I can live together forever."
"Then it's absolutely okay, Sital," I said, feeling immense relief that her choice was her own. "But what about our little plan to continue being boyfriend and girlfriend until the wedding?"
"Avi, we have to stop all that now," Sital said, her voice gentle but final. "It has to end here."
"I think so too," I agreed, accepting the closure. "But what if Sohan finds out that you're not a virgin when the time comes?"
"The marriage is two full years away," she said, a determined glint in her eyes. "By then, things will be fine to some extent, and I'll think of some good excuse for Sohan. And in two years, I’ll take Sohan so deep into my love that he won't care at all if I'm a virgin or not."
After a short moment, I brought Sital back to the hall. We stayed for lunch and then had a celebratory dinner at Rohan’s house. After talking about the marriage details for hours, we finally went to Jyoti Bua's house for the night.
At Jyoti Bua's house, Sweta Didi called me into her room, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears.
"Avi, I will genuinely never forget what you did for me," Sweta Didi said, her eyes welling up with emotion. "You saved me."
"A brother should be able to do at least this much for his sister," I said, my voice kind.
"What happened that day... with your lund and my choot..." she began, her voice trailing off in renewed shame.
"I've completely forgotten about that day and that night, Didi," I said, my voice soft but firm, closing that chapter for good. "You should also forget that night. I won't ever tell anyone about it."
Sweta Didi moved forward and hugged me tightly, burying her face in my shoulder and saying "Thank you" over and over again, the tears finally flowing. Later that night, Pooja Bua kept talking late into the evening about the marriage logistics, detailing what we would do and how we would make all the arrangements. We eventually fell asleep while she was talking.
The next morning, I came back to the village with Neeta Bua. Pooja Bua had asked me to stay in the city, but Neeta Bua insisted that Leena was alone at home and needed me. Pooja Bua stayed there with Sweta, Sital, and Raj. They would all come back to the village with Raj’s Papa after a week.
I told everyone in the family about the unexpected, glorious news of Sweta Didi and Sital’s marriages. Meena Chachi was absolutely the happiest person of all. We had simply gone to talk about Sweta Didi’s marriage and returned after successfully fixing the marriages of both Sweta Didi and Sital to two wealthy, eligible brothers. The entire family was buzzing with pride and excitement.
