## Update 147: The Full Story and a New Plan (Avi and Poonam Didi)
After my chaotic interaction with Sweta Didi, I stepped out of the room. My first move was to call Poonam Didi. I used Sital's mobile phone, dialing the number carefully.
"Tell me, Sital, why did you call me?" Poonam Didi answered, her voice sounding cheerful and unaware.
I quickly lowered my voice. "Hello," I said.
A pause followed. "Hello? Who is this speaking?" Poonam Didi asked, sounding confused by the unexpected male voice.
"Didi, it's me, Avi," I replied.
"Oh, Avi! What's up? Why did you call from Sital's phone?" she asked, her tone shifting to surprise.
I tried to sound casual, though my heart was pounding. "I just missed you, so I called from Sital Didi's mobile," I lied, a little nervously.
She laughed, the sound sharp and suspicious. "You missed me? Why would you miss *me*?" she challenged, raising her voice.
"Because one always remembers someone so beautiful, right?" I said, trying to charm my way past her doubt.
"Don't flatter me, Avi," she said, though her laugh softened a bit. She immediately grew serious. "Just tell me why you called. If you genuinely missed me, you would have called from Sweta's mobile. Either Sweta or Sital would have talked first, and then you would have joined the conversation. Now tell me the real reason you called," she insisted, tapping her fingers.
"You're not only beautiful, but you're also incredibly smart, Didi," I conceded, trying to buy some time.
"Thanks. Now tell me why you called," she insisted, her voice getting impatient.
"I wanted to ask you about Sweta Didi and Rohan," I said, finally getting straight to the point.
The change in her voice was immediate and dramatic; it dropped to a serious, protective tone. "Who told you anything about Rohan?" she asked sharply.
"Sital Didi told me," I replied. "But I think Sital Didi doesn't know the complete story, just pieces."
"First, you tell me exactly how much you know, and then I'll decide what I need to tell you," she countered, establishing her caution.
I relayed everything Sital had told me—the diary, the friendship turning to love, the college commitment, and the final scene in the classroom.
"Sweta wrote all of that down in her personal diary," Poonam Didi confirmed with a sigh.
"Yes, Sital Didi told me that she found all this out by reading the diary," I said.
"Whatever Sital said is true; the general timeline is correct," Poonam Didi confirmed.
"If that much is true, then I believe Rohan truly, deeply loves Sweta Didi," I said, feeling a sense of hope for their relationship.
"Not just Rohan, Avi, but Sweta, too," she corrected me. "They both loved each other immensely. Now, listen. I'll tell you what I found out from the college that I tried to tell Sweta many times, but Sweta was too angry to listen..."
The phone beeped loudly and the call was abruptly cut. The mobile's balance had run out just at the most critical point. A moment later, Poonam Didi called me back, thankfully.
"What happened, Avi?" she asked immediately.
"The balance ran out on Sital's mobile," I explained.
"Now listen carefully to what I want to tell you," she said, and I held the mobile tightly to my ear, listening to every word.
"The girl Rohan was seen kissing was a classmate of both Rohan and Sweta," she began, laying out the backstory. "That girl has had many boyfriends in the past. Even after having so many, she only ever got boyfriends who wanted sex from her, never one who truly loved her. When that girl saw the purity and depth of Rohan and Sweta's love, she started getting intensely jealous of Sweta. Seeing their relationship, that girl became obsessed with the idea that she should also get a loving boyfriend like Rohan, but she never did."
Poonam Didi continued, building the tension. "Then that girl started trying to get Rohan's attention. Her attempts all failed because Rohan only had eyes for Sweta. She realized that as long as Rohan and Sweta loved each other, she would never be able to break them up or get Rohan alone. Then that girl came up with a desperate, malicious plan to get Rohan by isolating him. She waited patiently for a chance to get Rohan alone."
"One day, Sital got sick, and Sweta was late to college because she had to take Sital to the hospital first. Rohan was sitting alone in the classroom, diligently studying. When Rohan was alone in the class, that girl came in, too. She sat right next to Rohan and started studying," she explained. "When Sweta finally arrived at college, she started looking for Rohan. After looking for a while, that girl's friend secretly called the girl and told her that Sweta had arrived on campus. That girl’s friend, executing the final part of their plan, told Sweta that Rohan was in the empty classroom."
"Sweta started walking quickly toward the classroom. When Sweta came near the class gate, that girl leaned in and told Rohan that something had suddenly gotten into her eye and asked him to check," Poonam Didi finished the scene. "Rohan leaned in, trying to look into her eye, and at that very moment, Sweta came to the class gate. And at that exact same moment, that girl quickly kissed Rohan forcefully. Sweta thought Rohan was kissing that girl back, but the truth is that girl was kissing Rohan against his will. And the rest of the breakup story, Sital already told you."
"This is the true story of Sweta and Rohan," Poonam Didi concluded.
My jaw tightened with frustration. "Why didn't you tell all this to Sweta Didi immediately?" I demanded, my voice sharp.
"I tried to tell her many times, Avi, but Sweta wouldn't listen to a word," Poonam Didi said, her voice filled with resignation. "She would change the subject as soon as she heard Rohan's name, completely consumed by her anger and hurt."
"Do you really think Rohan still loves Didi?" I asked, needing absolute confirmation, my voice low.
"Yes, he does. He tries to meet Sweta every time he can," she confirmed. "But Sweta refuses to listen or even see him. The other day, when you went to the mall, I actually told Rohan that Sweta was going to be there and that he should go there and try to talk to her one last time. But even there, Sweta refused to listen to him."
"Do you have Rohan's phone number?" I asked, a definite plan forming in my mind.
"Yes, I do, but what exactly do you want to do with it?" she asked, her curiosity suddenly piqued.
I felt a surge of confidence. "If my plan works out, then Rohan and Sweta will be happily back together again soon," I said confidently, grinning slightly.
"Okay. But whatever you do, think it through very carefully," she warned me gently. "I'll text you the number right now."
"Thanks so much, Didi. Bye," I said, relief washing over me.
"Bye, Avi," she replied. I hung up the phone, looking at the screen, waiting for the number to arrive.
