Part 70 – Facing The Bitter Truth
Pihu’s POV- Whenever we come to know from someone else that he or she has come to know about our deepest and most private secret, then we get the biggest shock ever had. We do not understand what to do or say in this awkward moment. I was in a similar situation in my in-laws' house. When I came to know that someone else already knew about my deepest secret. How? And whom? Let us know about it in detail in this part of our story. You all know that recently I and my husband Bijan have come to his village on the invitation of my father-in-law. After coming, we came to know from my father-in-law that my cousin brother-in-law Ani has been staying in a cheap hotel in the city for the last 15 days, hiding from everyone. Neither Bijan nor I knew about this before today. Father-in-law also told us that he has arranged Ani's marriage, that is why Ani is hiding from him and everyone else. We did not understand what father-in-law said. Bijan asked his father, “I did not understand what you said baba (father). What are you trying to say?” Now before father-in-law could say anything, uncle said, “Actually, about 4 or 5 months ago, Ani came to the village to meet me and his elder uncle and elder aunt. Then, during our conversation, the topic of his marriage came up. Baroda (elder brother) told Ani that he is talking about his marriage with the daughter of one of his close friends who lives in the village next to ours. The girl's family likes Ani and they have full approval for this relationship. Hearing this, Ani became a little uncomfortable. He could not say anything in front of his elder uncle, but at night while sleeping, he asked me to talk to elder brother and get this marriage cancelled. I also asked him what is the reason for this. Why does he not want to get married? Does he love someone else? And so on and so forth.” Uncle finished his talk. Now I asked uncle, “Then? Did Ani say anything to you?” Uncle looked at me once. There was some strange restlessness in his eyes. I felt that he definitely wanted to say something. But he was not able to say this in front of his elder brother i.e. my father-in-law. He was hesitating to say the same thing. Now before uncle could say anything, my father-in-law said, "I am not interested in what Ani has said to him. He will get married to my friend's daughter only. And that too on the date and time decided by me. You both should explain this to him properly." Now Bijan said, "We!!!??? But father, how will we explain this to him?? We don't even know in which room of which hotel in which street of the city he is hiding? We don't even know his address." “So find it out. Meet him. Talk to him. Explain to him. And convince him to marry. This is a matter of my honour. And I cannot put it at stake for anyone. Not even for Ani. He will have to marry that girl. In any case. If I want, I will bring him myself and make him sit on the wedding altar. He will marry that girl only.” Bijan said, “But how will we find him in that big city?” Father-in-law said, "Figure that out yourselves. Just now you said that both of you are his closest relatives. So it is your responsibility to find him and convince him for marriage. What kind of brother and sister-in-law are you both that you cannot convince your own younger brother or brother-in-law? I don't want to hear any excuse. I have fixed his engagement ceremony next month. Somehow you both will have to bring his to this village before that. For this, if you have to break the mountain then break it. If you have to dig the ground then dig it. I just want to see Ani in the village before his engagement. For this, both of you try your best. One month is left for his engagement. And you both have only one month to find him and bring him here. It will be good if you succeed in this, otherwise I will have to show my true colors to everyone." Saying this, without giving us a chance to say anything else, father-in-law left his room. Bijan and I kept sitting there like fools. What new trouble has come and fallen on us? What a problem Ani has created for himself and for both of us? After father-in-law left, Bijan also got angry and left from there.
Only uncle and I were sitting in the room. Both of us were quiet. No one was saying anything. We were not able to understand what to say to each other. After some time, I said to uncle, "Uncle, do you know where Ani actually is? Then it would have been easier for us to find him." Uncle shook his head and said, “No bouma (daughter-in-law), I don’t know. I haven’t spoken to Ani for a week or ten days. He called me about 12 or 13 days ago. He told me that he is hiding in a hotel in the city. He has some work in this city. That’s why he is not able to go back to Mumbai. As soon as his work is over, he will return to Mumbai as soon as possible. And he will not come back for now. He did not contact you both either, because he did not want to let you to know about all this. He also made me swear that I should not tell anyone about his staying in the hotel. Especially to my elder brother. That is why he was staying in a cheap hotel so that no one could find him. But I was forced to tell brother about this.” I said to Uncle, “But why is he doing this? There must be some reason, isn’t it? If he does not want to get married, then why is he not telling this to you or father-in-law clearly? Why is he making the situation so serious and tensed for himself and for everyone else unnecessarily?” Uncle looked at me once again, went to say something, but stopped again. He paused for a while and said, “I know the reason for this, bouma.” I said, “Then tell me, Uncle. If not anyone else, then tell me only.” After remaining silent for some time, Uncle said, “Looks like now I will have to tell you, bouma. Only you can find a solution to this problem. If anyone can make Ani understand, it is you. But I cannot tell you the whole thing here. You do one thing, tonight after everyone goes to sleep, you come alone to my room. Then we will sit and talk about this.” I was surprised and said, "That's fine uncle, I will definitely come to your room. But what is it that you want to tell me in private?" He said, "The matter is such, bouma. It is better if no one comes to know about it, especially your father-in-law. Otherwise, the whole family will be in trouble. For now, I cannot say anything more. We will discuss the rest in private in my room." Saying this, uncle got up from there and left. I sat and started thinking. What is uncle trying to talk to me about? What is it that he does not consider appropriate to tell even his own nephew i.e. Bijan? But he wants to discuss the same thing with me in private? Thinking all this, I came to our room. Bijan had already come here and lay down on the bed. Seeing me coming into the room, he got up and sat on the bed. He said, "Pihu, sometimes father really crosses the limits. There is a limit to excesses. Does he think we are his servants? I am not his servant, I am his son. If Ani is hiding somewhere, then why should I leave my work and go to look for him?" I said, "Do you have the courage to say this in front of your father, Bijan?" Bijan became silent as soon as he heard his father's name from me.
I lowered my voice a little and said, “And anyway, no one else knows, we both know very well what place and importance Ani has in our lives. Neither you nor I can deny this even if we want to. There is no person in this world who knows and understands Ani more than us. He is closer to me than you. So much so that he is not even close to his own father. If we do not help him in this situation, then who will? You may have forgotten, but I have not forgotten till date how I once helped him by crossing the threshold of my modesty and shame. And he too may not have forgotten this. If he wants, I will stand alone for him in front of everyone to help him again.” Bijan got a little scared remembering the old things. He lowered his voice and said, “Don't talk about all this here, darling. If father gets to know about this, he will throw both of us out of the house right now. I am not saying that I don't care for Ani or that I don't want to help him. I am just saying that...” I did not let Bijan finish his sentence. I stopped him before that and said, “What you are saying or want to say is not important for the time being. There is another thing bothering me.” Bijan said, “Which thing, darling?” I said in a low voice, “I don't know if you noticed or not, but I noticed that uncle wanted to say something, but was hesitant to say the same thing in front of father-in-law. When I asked him after you left from there, he said that he knows something that if father-in-law comes to know about it, it will create a ruckus in the whole family.” Hearing this, Bijan became even more scared. He said, “What are you saying, darling? What is it?” I said, “I too don’t know anything about it right now like you.” Bijan said, “Didn’t you ask him?” I said, “I did. But he didn’t tell me. He said, he can’t say anything about it here right now.” Bijan said, “Then when will he tell?” I told him, “Be a little calm, Bijan. And keep your mind cool. Uncle has called me to his room tonight to tell me this very thing.” Bijan became curious to hear this and said, “Then it’s okay, I will also come with you.” I shook my head and said, “No, you can’t come with me. I will have to go alone.” Bijan said restlessly, “But why?” I said, “Because, uncle himself has asked me to go alone. He wants to talk to me about this in private. Not in front of you either.” Bijan said, "Then it is okay. You go alone. And you need to know what it really is. And please don't let anyone here know about our secret, darling." I assured him and said, "Don't worry, Bijan. I will not do anything that will let anyone here know anything about us. Especially father-in-law. Our secret will remain between us only. For life. This is my promise to you." Bijan hugged me happily.
After dinner, we all went to sleep in our respective rooms. In the village, dinner is a little earlier than in the city. So, we went to sleep in our rooms around 10 or 10.30 pm. Tonight, I was feeling very horny to get fucked by Bijan. Because first, the incident in the bus in the afternoon and then the incident near the well in the evening, both of these made me feel very horny. And my pussy was continuously releasing its juices, due to which my panties were getting wet with my own pussy juices. And in a short interval of time, I had to change the panties soaked with my own pussy juices again and again. Well, but due to the excitement in my mind and the curiosity to know the real thing from Uncle's mouth and Bijan's fear of revealing his secret in front of his father, we decided not to have sex that night. Although I was feeling very horny, still, suppressing my desire, I went to bed without having sex with Bijan. Bijan snored and fell asleep after a while. But sleep was far away from my eyes that night. I lay down and was waiting for the time when everyone in the house would be fast asleep and I would be able to go to Uncle's room alone without letting anyone know. After about an hour, I got up from the bed and quietly left my room. By then the whole house was fast asleep. Our house is a two-storied house. There are two rooms on the first floor. One for me and Bijan and the other room is for Ani. When he comes to the village, he stays in that room. There are two adjacent rooms on the lower floor. In one of them my mother-in-law and father-in-law sleep. And in the other room Uncle sleeps alone. I climbed down the stairs and came down from the first floor to the lower floor. To go to Uncle's room, I would have to go through my mother-in-law and father-in-law's room. I was careful while passing in front of their room so that they would not hear the sound of my footsteps. I stopped once and checked, their room was locked from inside. I relieved and moved ahead and reached Uncle's room. I put my hand on the door of his room. It was also locked from inside. I knocked lightly on Uncle's door. I did not want to make much noise, which would disturb my mother-in-law and father-in-law’s sleep. Because both the rooms were next to each other. Anyway, I knocked lightly on the door for the second time too. Then I heard the slightest sound of the door opening from inside. This means that Uncle was also asleep. He woke up only after hearing my knock and opened the door. Uncle's room door opened and Uncle poked his head out and looked at me. As soon as he saw me, he opened the door and signaled me to come inside quietly. As soon as I went inside, he closed the door of his room again from inside.
I said to him, “Uncle, what is all this...” Before I could complete my sentence, uncle put his finger on his lips and signaled me to keep quiet. I kept quiet. His behavior seemed very strange to me. But I kept quiet. Because I had to find out about Ani from him. And for that I would have to do as he said. As soon as I kept quiet, he pointed me towards his bed with his finger. I understood that he was asking me to sit on the bed. I did the same. I quietly went and sat on his bed. As soon as I sat, he also sat next to me. And leaning towards me, he whispered, “Don’t talk too loudly, bouma. Your mother-in-law and father-in-law are sleeping in the room next to mine. I don’t want them to hear whatever we are talking about.” I shook my head and said whisperingly, “That is fine. But you tell me what the matter is really about. And why have you called me to your room alone so late at night?” Uncle said, “Because I wanted to talk to you alone. And the real thing is such that I cannot talk to anyone else even if I want to.” I said, “But what is the matter? Do you know why Ani does not want to get married?” Uncle shook his head and said, “Yes, I know the real reason. Ani himself told me about this.” I said curiously, “So tell me what is the real reason for him not getting married?” Uncle sat there dejectedly for a few moments and then looked at my face and said in a calm voice, “Don’t feel bad bouma, but there is only one reason for Ani not getting married. And that is you.” Even if God himself had descended from heaven into the room of the house at that time, I would have believed my eyes and ears, but I could not believe what Uncle said. For a moment, I thought that Uncle might be playing a dirty joke on me. But the very next moment, I realized that this cannot be a joke. No elderly man would secretly call his nephew's wife into his room so late at night and play such a dirty joke. And maybe Uncle was also not doing it. And as soon as I realized this, a chill ran down my spine. What is Uncle saying? Ani does not want to get married because of me? And he himself has said this to his father? What has he done? For a few moments, I could not think or understand what I should say to Uncle. After sitting silently like an idiot for some time, I somehow said to him, "Uncle, what are you saying? Ani does not want to get married because of me?" Uncle again said in the same calm voice, "Yes bouma. He doesn't want to marry because of you." I couldn't hold myself back anymore and said to him in surprise, "But why Uncle?" Uncle said, "Because he loves you. And he wants you." Once again I couldn't believe my ears. Before I could say anything, he said again, "Look bouma, Ani has told me everything truthfully." I said, "What do you mean by everything?" He said somehow sadly, "Everything means everything."
Saying this, he remained silent for some time and then said, “Actually 4 months ago when he came to village and my elder brother talked to him about his marriage, that very night he told me everything about you and him openly. He told me how he went to your house to meet you both for the first time. After that, on Bijan’s insistence, he did ‘all that’ with you. And did it many times later too. He also told me how you once helped him in getting a film from a big producer. After that incident, he became weak towards you. He fell in love with you without telling you and started loving you in his heart. He confessed to me that he knows that you are his boudi (sister-in-law) and he is your younger devar (brother-in-law). The people of this society will never accept this relationship between you two. It will tag it as an illegitimate relationship, which he does not approve of at all and will never accept. That is why he never wants to get married in life. And neither does he want to let anyone know this thing of his heart, especially you. I have kept this matter to myself till now, and will keep it to myself in future too, don't worry. But today I am forced to tell you all this." Saying this, Uncle became quiet for a while. I was not able to understand what to say to him, so I also remained quiet. Uncle started speaking again, “Bouma, I am neither blaming you nor Ani. Whatever happened we can forget it. But Ani is my only son. When his mother passed away, he was a small child. Innocent. Pure. Fully unaware of the outer world. Then everyone advised me to get married again so that Ani never feels the absence of his mother. But I did not do that. Nor did I ever want to do that. Because I knew that whoever I marry again will not be Ani's own mother but his step mother. And maybe she will never be able to accept Ani as her own son. And I will not be able to tolerate this while I am alive. That is why I thought of raising him myself. I gave him both motherly and fatherly love. I educated him, brought him up, taught him to stand up by his own, taught him to fight the world. But today my son is on the verge of going away from me. Maybe he will never return to Mumbai. I will never be able to see him again.” Saying this, Uncle suddenly held both my hands in his hands and said, “Whatever is done is done, bouma. I am ready to forget everything. But bring my son back to me anyhow. I just want my son. I know, you are the only one in the world who can make him understand, convince him to marry, and bring him back to me. I am requesting you, bouma, bring my son back to me.” I told uncle, “Uncle, I agree, it is not only Ani who has made a mistake, but I have also made a mistake. Ani is my younger brother-in-law, a part of my family. Whatever I did for him in past, I did it as a family member. I never thought that because of this he will start looking at me in a different way. He will fall in love with me. And because of that he will do such a big mistake. But now I will not let my mistake be repeated again. I promise you, no matter what happens, I will definitely convince and persuade Ani and bring him back to this village. And I will stand by and get him married.” Uncle became happy after saying this. But I was not prepared for what he did after that. He hugged me tightly saying, “Thank you very much bouma (daughter-in-law). If you can do this miracle, then as a father I will be grateful to you for the rest of my life…”. (Contd.)
