.
Her body shivered.
A soft quiver.
Her fingers interlaced with his…
barely.
Just the tips.
Just enough to confess everything.
Her heart thudded.
Her mind raced.
“Stop… please… but I don’t want to stop… oh God…”
He rested his cheek against hers.
Soft.
Tender.
Shivering.
His breath mingling with hers.
She leaned into him.
Just a fraction.
Tiny.
Trembling.
Not moving away.
Not resisting.
Her mind screamed restraint.
Her heart pulled forward.
“I’m falling… completely… and I can’t… I can’t move away…”
Ravi brushed her fingers with his again.
Soft.
Tentative.
Electric.
Her pulse raced.
Her lips tingled.
Her cheek pressed deeper against his.
Her breath quickened.
Her mind spun.
Her heart thundered.
“This is impossible… it shouldn’t… I can’t… but I can’t stop… oh God…”
He whispered her name inside his head.
Soft.
Trembling.
Barely a breath.
She shivered.
Another small gasp escaped.
Her pulse racing.
Her body leaning into him helplessly.
“I want him… I shouldn’t… I want him… I can’t…”
The theater darkened even more.
The screen flickered.
Light glided across her cheek.
Shimmered along her dark saree.
Ravi leaned closer.
A soft brush…
cheek to cheek,
forehead to temple,
fingers lightly entwined with hers.
She trembled.
Her lips tingled.
Her breath came shallow.
Her heart wouldn’t slow.
“I can’t… I won’t… I can’t stop… oh God, I want him…”
He pressed his forehead lightly against hers again.
Soft.
Trembling.
Close.
Too close.
Her fingers twitched in his grasp.
Her chest rose sharply.
Her lips tingled unbearably.
Her heart raced as though her ribs were too small.
“I’m lost… and I don’t want to be found… and I can’t move away…”
The theater stayed quiet.
The world faded.
It was only them.
Only now.
Only breath and trembling restraint.
Her fingers trembled.
Her lips tingled with his ghosted warmth.
Her mind spun helplessly.
Ravi rested his head gently against her shoulder.
Light.
Tentative.
Shivering with everything he couldn’t say.
His pulse raced.
“I want more… but I can’t… I won’t… I can’t stop wanting her…”
She leaned into him.
The tiniest fraction.
A shiver.
Her heart racing.
Her mind a mess of restraint and longing.
“I can’t… I shouldn’t… but I want him… oh God… I want him so much…”
They stayed there…
suspended, trembling, alive…
caught between longing and restraint.
Between danger and desire.
Between what could never be fully taken…
and what could never again be denied.
