.
His chest pressed against her arm. Just slightly. But enough to feel the warmth of her skin, the heat that was becoming unbearable.
“I shouldn’t be this close. I shouldn’t even be here, but…”
Her body was stiff at first, then softened.
A subtle sigh caught between breath and thought.
“Why is my heart racing? Why does it feel like the world has narrowed to this moment? To him?”
Ravi’s lips brushed her temple, the lightest touch, a feather against her skin. Not claiming. Not bold. Just… there.
Her eyes fluttered closed for a second, her breath catching in the quiet space between them.
The world outside seemed to blur, as if it were only the two of them.
The faintest tremor in her fingers, as though her body couldn’t fully contain what was brewing inside her.
“Stop. Stop. Stop. But… I can’t. I don’t want to. I shouldn’t, but I… God, I want him.”
Her pulse quickened, her heart pounding in response to his proximity.
The heat between them, thick and tangible, made every nerve in her body ache with anticipation.
“I can’t… but I’m leaning… I’m letting him… I shouldn’t… but I can’t stop myself…”
“Amit is on my right side, holding my hand… I can’t… A small turn… everything will collapse…”
His hand moved. Slowly. Barely perceptible.
Her fingers trembled. A flicker of permission.
“Don’t. Don’t let him take this further… don’t give him permission… but… oh, why am I letting him?”
Her fingers brushed his lightly. A tiny spark, a flicker of heat.
A pause that lasted too long.
Her lips parted. A quiet inhale.
Ravi leaned just a fraction closer, his lips brushing hers luscious lips.
Just a whisper of distance.
Dangerous moment.
His breath mingled with hers, soft, trembling. The moment felt infinite. A single heartbeat stretched into eternity.
“Why does every nerve in my body feel alive with him? Why does it feel like I’ve been waiting my whole life for this?”
She wanted to pull away.
Wanted to retreat.
But she didn’t.
Her body betrayed her.
Again. And again.
