Naveen’s eyes lingered on hers for a moment longer than necessary, tracing the curve of her smile, the way the sunlight made her hair shine. “She’s radiant,” he thought, “and somehow, this feels like the safest place in the world with her here.”

He splashed her gently with water, just enough to make her shriek and step back, laughing. “Hey! That’s cheating!” she exclaimed, shaking droplets from her hair.
 
“Cheating? No, no… that’s strategy,” he said, a playful smirk tugging at his lips. He flicked a little more water toward her, and this time she lunged at him, splashing him back, water dripping from their clothes as their laughter mingled.
 
Each accidental touch, each brushing of arms or legs, made their cheeks warm, their smiles linger longer.
 
Kavya tried to dodge him, but he caught her gently, holding her hands for a moment, their eyes meeting. “You’re impossible,” she said with a grin, her breath quickened from the playful chase, her cheeks glowing.
 
“And you’re daring,” he replied, his voice low, warm. He leaned closer, letting the tip of his shoulder brush hers, “But… I don’t mind.” The words carried more than humor, they were acknowledgment of their closeness, their new comfort with each other.
