Her neck, smooth and elegant, was adorned with a thin gold chain, which glinted softly with her every motion. Her bindi, a small dot of red on her forehead, added an element of timeless beauty.
But it was her eyes that drew him in, soft, dark, and full of warmth. Her face, framed by her loose braid, was serene, but there was something more in the way she stood, a quiet strength, an undeniable allure in her natural elegance.
Ravi couldn’t help but notice the small details, the way the fabric of her saree clung to her waist, the way it billowed slightly as she moved, the faintest hint of her navel just visible beneath the dbangd fabric.
A drop of sweat lingered on her side, just above her waistline, catching the sunlight, making it glitter like a tiny gem. The sight of it, shimmering gently, made Ravi’s breath hitch. He couldn’t tear his eyes away, captivated by the softness of her form, the grace in her every movement.
Priya Didi turned to face him, a soft smile curling at her lips. “Good morning, Ravi,” she said, her voice rich and warm, carrying a note of familiarity, of something old and precious between them that had been lost for so long.
Ravi’s voice caught in his throat for a moment, his heart beating just a little faster. “Good morning, Didi,” he said, his gaze lingering a moment too long on the soft curve of her waist. He cleared his throat and quickly looked away, embarrassed by his own thoughts.
Priya Didi, however, had noticed. She didn’t miss how his eyes had stayed on her for a heartbeat longer than they should have. For a brief moment, she felt a flicker of something, pride, perhaps, or satisfaction.
It was a feeling she hadn’t allowed herself to indulge in for quite some time. She hadn’t realized how much she missed the attention, the warmth, the way his gaze could still make her feel beautiful, desirable, and seen.
She straightened her posture slightly, a playful glint in her eyes as she adjusted her pallu, deliberately letting it slide down just enough to reveal a bit more of her blouse, drawing his gaze back to her. “You’re staring, Ravi,” she said softly, her voice light but carrying an unmistakable edge of teasing.
