Chapter-4

Rubika flinched as cold water hit her face. She was standing naked under the shower. Last night she hardly had any sleep as she kept tossing and turning in bed. She needed this cold shower to calm all the vivid thoughts that troubled her all night.

Last night, after dinner, she messaged Abhishek that she was ready to work with him, to which Abhishek had instantly replied, asking her room number, saying that he would like to meet her at 12 PM the next day to tell her the next plan of action.

Rubika felt a rush of blood as she read that Abhishek wants to meet her in her hotel room. Though they were meeting for a work-related thing but she felt very excited, maybe because she was exploring something she had never done in her life. She kept thinking that accompanying Abhishek would be very thrilling. She kept reminding herself that it meant nothing else, though she didn’t know if she was fooling herself.

She took her time to clean herself. First, she picked up shampoo from the rack and applied shampoo to her black thick hair and cleaned it well. As she was about to pick body wash, her eyes lingered over hair removal cream. She picked it up and started applying cream on her hand, and when she bent down to apply cream on her legs, she noticed her pubic hair had grown up since she had not cleaned them due to her period.

‘Am I getting ready especially for Abhishek’ a thought came in Rubika’s mind when she was applying cream over her pubic hair.

‘It’s nothing like that, I am just following a basic hygiene routine. It has nothing to do with the fact that I am meeting with Abhishek’ she said to herself, and she turned on the shower again.

Rubika came out of the bathroom wrapped in a soft pink towel, and another white towel was wrapped around her wet hair. She glanced at the watch; there were only 10 minutes left for the clock to hit 12 PM.

She hardly had any time to get ready. She quickly plugged the hair dryer into the plug and started drying her hair.

Rehan, her husband, had not called since their heated argument 2 nights ago. She felt hurt. Though she showed anger toward him but all she wanted was for him to understand her, talk to her, and assure her that no matter what, he would support her.

But as it is with almost all men, Rehan too never understood what her wife wanted from him. He thought maybe things would get back to normal if he gave Rubika some space. Her anger will subside when she gets busy with her work. He didn’t have any idea that he was making a huge mistake. He had complete faith in his lovely wife, Rubika, because in 5 years of their married life, she had never done anything that made him doubt her, but what he failed to realize was that time and circumstances make people do things that they don't even know they can do.

Rubika put one of her suitcases over the bed and opened it to see what she should wear. Ever since her mother-in-law moved in with her, she has had to wear traditional clothes at home. So she packed many of her dresses, shorts, and skirts for this trip.

She threw the pink towel wrapped around her body on the bed and started tossing her clothes. She was lost in her thoughts and humming some romantic song while checking her clothes, when the sound of the doorbell startled her.

She looked at the clock and then towards herself. It was exactly 12 PM and she was standing naked. She hastily wrapped her pink towel back back on her freshly washed body and went towards the door. The towel was hardly able to cover her boobs and was exposing most of her smooth, thick thighs.
