As they reached the doorway of her room, Ravi felt a surge of tenderness wash over him, mixed with something else, a quiet hunger, one he had tried to suppress for so long. This was the first time he was entering her bedroom, the first time he had crossed that threshold.
Until now, this had always been a space for Amit, a place of romance and memories that didn’t include him. The thought of her with him in this very room, on that same bed, lingered in his mind, a subtle sting in his chest.
But now, with Priya leaning into him, vulnerable and fragile, the room felt like a different world entirely.
The weight of her body against his, her soft breath in the small space between them, stirred something deeper within him. The same feelings of protectiveness flared up in him, but this time, they were mixed with something darker, something he couldn’t quite ignore.
The intimate vulnerability in her touch sent a pulse of heat through him, igniting a longing he had long buried.
He could feel the gentle arch of her neck as she tilted her head to the side, the curve of her cheek pressing against him. Her skin was so soft, so warm against his, and the temptation to press his lips to the delicate line beneath her ear was overwhelming. He had to fight it, forcing himself to stay composed.
As Ravi hovered near her, Priya’s heart raced. Her breath, shallow and uneven, betrayed the turmoil inside her. What was happening? She wanted him so close, wanted to melt into the warmth of his touch, to feel the strength of his arms around her again.
But was it right? After everything that had happened between them, the hurt, the distance they had created, could she let herself feel this?
Every time his body pressed against hers, every time his breath brushed against her skin, her mind spun in confusion. It was as though she was torn between the comfort he offered and the bitterness of their past.
The intimacy of his touch, the tenderness with which he helped her, it felt so right, but she couldn’t ignore the sharp pang of guilt in her chest.
The same bed, the same room, that had once been the space for Amit… could she really allow herself to feel this way about Ravi now?
