## Update 35: Finalizing the Maharaj Plan and Avi's House-Sitting Role (Chachis' Covert Meeting)

After getting home from Bua's house, I quickly completed the homework for my other subjects. The evening's events—the scare from Meena Chachi and the mission to help Komal—had replaced the lingering anxiety about Madam. I ate dinner and went to sleep, my mind settling on the schedule for tomorrow.

Later that night, the three women gathered once more for their covert meeting.

"Meena, why did you go to Mangla's house again today?" Seema Chachi  asked Meena Chachi , referring to the earlier encounter when I saw them returning.

"To ask about the Maharaj. I needed to confirm some details," Meena Chachi replied directly.

"Did you find a man to be the father?" Seema Chachi asked, getting straight to the critical issue.

"Yes, let's say I did," Meena Chachi replied, her tone indicating confidence, though she wasn't ready to reveal his identity.

"Who is he?" Suman Chachi asked, her curiosity piqued.

"Is he from this village, as you suggested?" Seema Chachi asked, recalling the conversation from a few nights ago.

"Yes, he's from this village," Meena Chachi affirmed, confirming her prior, suspicious assertion.

"Is he trustworthy? We need someone discreet who won't expose us," Suman Chachi asked, worried about the social fallout.

"Yes, we can trust him more than ourselves. He has a reason to be silent," Meena Chachi said, her certainty complete. The way she spoke suggested she had a strong hold over this person.

"Who is he, Meena? Tell us now," Seema Chachi insisted, her impatience growing.

"I won't tell you now. I'll tell you after we come back from the Maharaj's ashram," Meena Chachi deflected, maintaining control over the situation.

"Why not now?" Suman Chachi pressed.

"I haven't asked him yet. I need to get the Maharaj's schedule and blessings first, and then approach him with a solid plan," Meena Chachi lied slightly, keeping her options open. The truth was, she likely needed to ensure the timing was right before making her move.

"What if he refuses later, after we've gone to the Maharaj?" Suman Chachi asked, recognizing the risk.

"He won't," Meena Chachi said simply.

"How can you be so sure, Meena?" Seema Chachi asked, amazed by Meena Chachi's level of certainty.

"You leave that to me. I know how to handle this person," Meena Chachi said, dismissing their concerns.

"Okay," Suman Chachi conceded, trusting Meena Chachi's resourcefulness.

"Now there's a small problem remaining," Meena Chachi said, shifting her focus.

"What now?" Seema Chachi asked, sighing.

"We have to convince Avi's chacha (uncle), your husband, about the trip," Meena Chachi stated.

"He'll agree easily. He'll jump with joy at the mention of a son's name—or any baby's name, for that matter," Seema Chachi said confidently.

"We'll ask him tomorrow morning," Suman Chachi decided.

"You both handle that conversation," Meena Chachi said, delegating the domestic task.

"Leave that worry to us. We'll tell him about the Maharaj's blessings, and he'll be ecstatic," Seema Chachi assured her.

"We'll leave this Monday. We have to stay there for a week to complete the full ritual with the Maharaj," Meena Chachi announced, laying out the timeline.

"But what about Avi? Who will look after him and his routine while we're gone?" Suman Chachi asked, always focused on the practicalities of the household.

"We'll keep him at Pooja's house for safety," Meena Chachi suggested.

"But who will look after the house during the day?" Suman Chachi asked, concerned about security.

"Avi will go to Pooja's house to sleep at night. He'll stay here all day to keep watch and study. We'll tell him not to go to schoool for a week, and instead look after the house and his studies," Meena Chachi said, revealing a ready-made plan that would give me unexpected freedom.

"You have a solution for every single problem, Meena," Seema Chachi said, a note of admiration in her voice.

"We'll convince Avi's chacha tomorrow. Get ready for the trip," Meena Chachi concluded.

"Now let's go to sleep. We'll talk about the packing and the Maharaj's demands tomorrow," Suman Chachi said, ending the discussion.
