I dont see it as a debacle, I think it opened up the story nicely. I have been able to frequent references to it.

I completely agree! My point is to keep story and character consistent, it would be good to see Supriya now having affair with Pranav while Iqbal get the KLPD like Atul. This will show the depths of adulterous and sexy scene.
