Chapter 40: Janina (Act 7)

"That was… incredible," Janina murmured softly, as she swallowed every drop before resting on the seat. "I’ve never felt anything like that before."

"Neither have I," Rahim admitted, his voice still hoarse from exertion. He ran a hand through her hair, his fingers tangling in the damp strands. "But… what does this mean? Where do we go from here?"

Janina hesitated, her fingers tracing idle patterns on his chest. "I don’t know," she admitted quietly. "This… this can’t happen again, Rahim. You’re married. I’m married. We both have responsibilities."

"I know," Rahim said, his tone heavy with regret. "But… I can’t just forget about this. About you."

"Neither can I," Janina whispered, her voice barely audible. She looked up at him, her eyes filled with conflict. "But we have to think about the people we love. About the lives we’ve built."

Rahim sighed, his arms tightening around her. "I don’t want to hurt my wife," he said softly. "I love her. But… being with you… it’s like nothing I’ve ever experienced before."

Janina nodded, her heart aching with the weight of their shared guilt. "I feel the same way," she admitted. "But we can’t keep doing this, Rahim. It’s not fair to them… or to us."

Rahim hesitated, his gaze lingering on her as she dressed. Despite the guilt gnawing at him, he couldn’t deny the pull he still felt toward her. He leaned in, capturing her lips in one final, desperate kiss. Janina responded instinctively, her hands gripping his shoulders as their mouths met in a feverish clash of longing and regret.

But just as things began to heat up again, Janina pulled away, her breath ragged. “No,” she said firmly, her voice trembling but resolute. “We can’t. This has to end, Rahim. Here. Now.”

Rahim sighed, frustration and desire warring within him. “You’re right,” he admitted grudgingly, pulling away from her. They finished dressing in silence, the tension between them palpable but unspoken.

As Rahim stepped out of the car, the cold night air hit him like a sobering slap. He turned to Janina one last time, his voice barely above a whisper. “This stays between us. No one can ever know.”

Janina nodded, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. “No one,” she echoed.

With that, Rahim walked to his bike, the weight of his actions pressing down on him like a boulder. The ride home was a blur, his mind racing with thoughts of Janina, her lips, her body, the way she had responded to him so completely. But as he pulled into the driveway and saw the lights still on in their apartment, a wave of guilt washed over him.

Inside, Lina was curled up on the couch, her face pale and tear-streaked. She looked up as he entered, her eyes wide and vulnerable. “Rahim,” she whispered, her voice breaking.

He crossed the room in three long strides and gathered her into his arms, holding her tightly against his chest. “I’m sorry,” he murmured, his voice thick with emotion. “I shouldn’t have left you like that. I was angry, but that’s no excuse.”

Lina clung to him, her body trembling. “I thought you wouldn’t come back,” she admitted, her voice muffled against his shirt.

Rahim cupped her face in his hands, forcing her to meet his gaze. “I’ll always come back to you, Lina. No matter what.”
She nodded, but her tears continued to fall. “I hate myself for what happened,” she confessed. “For keeping it from you.”
“Shh,” he soothed, brushing a strand of hair from her face. “We’ll get through this. Together.”

For a moment, they just held each other, the silence between them filled with unspoken words and lingering pain. Finally, Rahim spoke again, his voice soft but firm.

“You don’t have to tell me everything,” he said. “What’s done is done. We should keep this whatever happened to us a secret. From everyone. And we’ll never talk about it again.”

Lina looked up at him, her eyes searching his for something, forgiveness, understanding, maybe both. “Okay,” she whispered.

They made their way to bed shortly after, Lina curling up close to Rahim as they lay down together. She seemed relieved, her breathing steadying as she drifted off to sleep. But Rahim lay awake, staring at the ceiling.

His mind kept drifting back to Janina, the way she had looked at him in the bar, the feel of her skin under his hands, the sounds she had made as they’d lost themselves in each other. It was surreal, almost like a dream he couldn’t wake up from. He yearned for more, even as he knew it was wrong.

Eventually, exhaustion overtook him, and he fell into a fitful sleep. His dreams were vivid and chaotic, filled with images of Janina, her lips, her tight body, her breasts and ass all waiting for him in the backseat of that car. He woke up several times throughout the night, sweating and restless, only to find Lina asleep beside him.

Each time, he reminded himself of the promise he had made to her and to himself. But deep down, he wondered if he could truly keep it.
