That night pressed down on Abhi like a heavy weight, the silence of the house amplifying the buzz of his phone on the bed. It was Ishaan after a long time.

Abhi's stomach twisted as he glanced at the screen, knowing the bully wouldn't let up that easy. Those creepshots, snaps Abhi had foolishly sent days ago, were still Ishaan's leverage, a constant threat hanging over him.

Abhi's fingers hovered over the keyboard, his chest tight. He didn't want to play this game, but what choice did he have? "Okay.." he replied hesitantly.

"Go to your mom's room," Ishaan instructed.

Abhi exhaled shakily, his bare feet cold against the tiled floor as he crept down the hallway upstairs. His parent's bedroom door loomed ahead, a sliver of moonlight spilling through the gap where it stood slightly ajar.

"Is it open or locked?" Ishaan asked, "Open," Abhi replied

"Peek through and tell me what you see." Ishaan ordered. Abhi pressed himself against the wall, his breath shallow as he leaned forward to look inside. The room was dim, the soft glow of moonlight filtering through the curtains.

Madhuri laid on the bed, her form partially covered by a thin blanket, her breathing slow and steady.

"She's sleeping on the bed. Dad's snoring downstairs." he sent to Ishaan

Ishaan's reply came buzzing "Good. I'm gonna video call you. Pick it up and pair your wireless earbuds. Stay silent and follow my instructions."

Abhi's heart thudded as he slipped his earbuds in, his hands trembling while he waited for the call.
