Chapter 36: The return (Act 9)
Ravi lunged at Kumar, his fist connecting with the other man’s face with a sickening crunch. “You son of a bitch!” he roared, blood spraying from Kumar’s nose.
Kumar staggered back, his laughter turning into a snarl. “You think you can take me?” he spat, launching himself at Ravi with equal ferocity. The two naked men collided, their bodies slamming into each other with raw, animalistic rage.
Lina didn’t waste a second. She slid off the cot, grabbed her clothes, and quickly pulled on her bra and skirt, her hands shaking but moving with purpose. As the men continued to brawl, oblivious to her actions, she slipped out of the room and ran to the kitchen section in the shop. Her mind raced as she searched the drawers, her fingers closing around the handles of two large knives.
She returned to the room just long enough to hurl the knives onto the floor between the struggling men. “You want me again?” she called out, her voice cold and commanding. “Then fight for it. The winner gets to seed me over and over until he’s satisfied.”
Both men froze for a split second, their eyes locking on the knives before shifting back to each other. The air in the room crackled with tension as they both lunged for the weapons, their naked bodies slick with sweat and blood.
Lina stepped back, her breath coming in shallow gasps as she watched the chaos unfold. Ravi and Kumar slashed at each other wildly, their movements fueled by rage and desperation. The metallic tang of blood filled the air as they traded blows, their curses and screams echoing through the room.
Lina didn’t wait to see who would win. Turning on her heel, she bolted from the room, her clothes now fully on and her heart pounding in her chest.
She peered into the room, her eyes widening as she saw Ravi repeatedly stabbing Kumar in his stomach. Blood soaked the floor as Kumar writhed in agony, his hands clutching at his wounds.
“Kumar!” Lina shouted, her voice sharp and commanding. “If you win, you can have me all night! Show him who’s the real man!”
Kumar’s eyes lit up with a fierce determination despite his injuries. “You hear that, Ravi?” he spat through gritted teeth, blood trickling from his mouth. “She wants me now. Not you.”
Ravi’s face twisted in fury, his eyes blazing as he turned to Lina. “You treacherous bitch! You think he’s better than me? I’ll show you who deserves you!”
Before Ravi could lunge at Lina, Kumar, with a surge of adrenaline, grabbed the knife from Ravi’s hand and plunged it cleanly into Ravi’s back. Ravi let out a guttural scream, stumbling forward as Kumar yanked the blade out and stabbed him again, and again.
“You thought you could take her from me?” Kumar roared, his voice thick with pain and rage. “She’s mine! Always has been!”
Ravi turned with a snarl, his own knife slashing wildly. He managed to catch Kumar across the neck, a deep gash spraying blood across the room. Both men staggered, their movements slowing as their strength drained away.
“You… you lost…” Kumar gasped, collapsing to his knees. “She’s mine…”
“No,” Ravi choked out, blood bubbling from his lips. “She’s… lying… to us…”
Lina stood frozen in the doorway, watching as both men crumpled to the floor, their bodies twitching weakly amidst the pool of blood. The room fell eerily silent except for their shallow, ragged breaths.
“It’s over,” Lina whispered to herself, her voice barely audible. She stepped back, her hands trembling as she pulled out her phone. With a few quick taps, she dialed the security officer, her voice shaking as she reported the gruesome scene. Next, she called Rahim, her tone filled with panic and distress.
“Rahim, please come quickly! There’s been… there’s been a fight. They’ve hurt each other badly. I don’t know what to do!”
By the time Rahim and the security officer arrived, Lina was in tears, her face a mask of inconsolable grief. She clung to Rahim as the officers entered the room, their faces grim as they surveyed the carnage.
“They’re both dead,” one officer confirmed, shaking his head. “What happened here?”
Lina sobbed, her voice breaking as she spoke. “I don’t know… they were arguing, and then… they started fighting. I tried to stop them, but it was too late…”
Rahim held her tightly, his face pale with shock. “It’s okay, Lina. You did everything you could.”
As the security officer began their investigation, Lina buried her face in Rahim’s chest, her tears masking the relief she felt deep inside. She had survived the nightmare for now but she knew the scars of this day would haunt her forever.
The entire place was swarmed with cops and reporters, the air thick with tension and curiosity. The main security officer officer in charge barked orders, closing off the area and turning to Lina and Rahim with a stern expression. “We’ll need both of you to come down to the station to provide a statement,” he said, his tone leaving no room for argument.
