Act 2.3 - Sex Appointment After Marriage
=============================

(The living room is still a hub of activity. Laughter and conversation flow freely. Kavita sits demurely, playing the part of the perfect new bride, but her eyes are a hawk's, tracking Vikram's every move. She sees him get up and head towards the kitchen, presumably for a glass of water. This is her chance. She waits a beat, then stands up.)

Kavita (to Raj's Mother): "Mummy Ji, can I get you some more water? You've been talking so much."

Raj’s Mother: "Oh, so sweet of you, beta. Yes, please."

(Kavita walks into the kitchen. Vikram is there, leaning against the counter, scrolling through his phone. He looks up as she enters, a slow smile spreading across his face. The door swings shut behind her, muffling the noise from the living room.)

Vikram: "Can I help you, Bhabhi? Looking for something?"

Kavita (walking to the fridge, her back to him): "I could ask you the same thing. Or are you just hiding from the family interrogation?"

Vikram: "Maybe. Or maybe I was just waiting for a more interesting conversation to present itself."

(She takes out a water bottle, pours a glass, and turns to face him. She doesn't move to leave. She just leans against the opposite counter, trapping him between her and the sink.)

Kavita: "That was a bold move. Texting me like that."

Vikram: "You strike me as a woman who appreciates bold moves. Am I wrong?"

Kavita: "You're not wrong. But boldness can be risky."

Vikram (taking a step closer): "The best things in life are. I've been watching you all morning. The way you play the part. The devoted wife. The sweet daughter-in-law. It's a very convincing performance."

Kavita: "It's not a performance. It's one part of me."

Vikram: "And I'm more interested in the other parts. The part that got a little... frustrated... when my brother didn't join you when you called him inside. I saw it in your eyes."

(His gaze drops from her eyes, down to her breasts, then back up. It's a possessive, hungry look that makes her skin tingle.)

Kavita (her voice dropping to a low, husky whisper): "You see a lot, don't you, Vikram?"

Vikram: "I see a beautiful woman, a brand new bride, who is absolutely burning with a fire that her husband doesn't know how to handle. He wants to put it out with kindness. But a fire like yours... it doesn't want to be put out. It wants to be fed. It wants to consume."

(He takes another step. They are inches apart now. She can feel the heat coming off his body.)

Kavita: "And you think you're the man to feed it? A someone like you?"

Vikram (a dark chuckle): "Try me, Bhabhi. I might surprise you. I know exactly what I'd do with a woman like you. I wouldn't leave you hanging, that's for sure. I wouldn't stop until you couldn't walk."

Kavita: "Big words."

Vikram: "I can back them up. All you have to do is say the word."

(She looks at him, a long, assessing silence stretching between them. Then, she reaches out and places her hand flat on his chest, right over his heart. It's pounding.)

Kavita: "You're nervous."

Vikram: "I'm excited."

Kavita: "Good. Now listen to me very carefully. You don't tell me what you're going to do. You don't make promises. You wait until I tell you what I want. And when I do... you do it. Exactly as I say. No questions asked. Understand?"

Vikram (his voice thick with lust): "Yes... I understand."

Kavita: "This isn't about you feeding my fire. I'm in control here. Not you. Not Raj. Me."

(She leans in, her lips almost touching his ear.)

Kavita: "Everyone is leaving after lunch. The house will be quiet this afternoon. Raj has a conference call he has to take at 4 PM. In his study. It will take at least an hour. Your room is at the end of the hall, right?"

Vikram (breathing heavily): "Yes..."

Kavita: "Leave your door unlocked."

(Just then, the kitchen door starts to swing open. Kavita steps back instantly, picking up the glass of water. She turns as Raj's aunt walks in.)

Raj’s Aunt: "Kavita, beta, your mother-in-law was waiting for the water."

Kavita (smiling her sweetest, most innocent smile): "Oh, sorry Aunty Ji. I was just asking Vikram about his work in Mumbai. It sounds so fascinating."

(She brushes past Vikram, her fingers trailing almost imperceptibly across the back of his hand. She walks out of the kitchen, leaving him standing there, his heart hammering in his chest, completely under her spell.)
