Adultery Love Sex And War Part 1 : Age Of Darkness
Dear RCF, I tried to avoid naming you but let be it.

Quote:If that was the case, Knowing how much pain she gave Hemanth, How much of a big betrayal she gave Hemanth, despite her choosing him over Vikram, not for family this time but because she wanted Hemanth over Vikram, that clarity she did not get from 1st Jabalpur meet, she only got it after her recent meeting with Vikram , she realized from her last dream that she would kill Hemanth if she continues to take this path and that broke her obsession with Vikram…she ended up taking a decision to reveal to Hemanth and set herself free and as well as set Hemanth free from her disrespect that she was causing him by cheating him all this time, According to author she loves Hemanth and according to me she also loves Vikram as well…so if she chose Hemanth over Vikram, wouldn’t it be apt to tell him that she chose him over Vikram and ended things with Vikram…

man, i think you had missed few episodes here, Sona already had that dream way earlier, so the benefit of doubt you are wanting for her is not rightly justified according to the story plot (which is my pov may harry knows better).

Quote:I understand other readers were saying, It doesn’t matter as this is a chapter for grief, But with grief also comes desperation, when they are desperate not to lose your man, they beg for forgiveness and confess their true feelings, For me ideal path would be that Sonarika confesses to Hemanth beg him to listen to her, and she confesses to Hemanth what she did to Ragini and beg for forgiveness, And clear one thing before they part ways that She still loves Hemanth and chose him over Vikram.

again, you are missing the point here, read this again

Quote:Hemant leaned back, exhaling slowly.

"Actually that is not the reason , its actually quiet the opposite. I actually dreamed bigger. Something I never got to tell my family. I was going to after our summer vacation. I bought a villa at Silver Beach, Andheri. Worth two crores. Already paid an advance thanks to the thriving business. But to close the deal and renovate, I need to sell the apartment"

Sonarika’s breath caught. Her hands covered her mouth as tears poured freely now. She remembered the countless evenings they’d dreamed of a place by any water body, the one constant fantasy in their years together.

"You… you did this for us?" she asked, her voice breaking.

"For us" Hemant said quietly.

"For Karan. For the life I thought we were building"

His eyes flicked away, not wanting her to see the tiny fracture in his calm. Even Meera’s expression softened.

"That’s… a hard truth to carry. A dream home becoming a casualty of this process"

She tapped the form gently.

"Mrs. Kumar? Do you agree to these terms?"

Sonarika stared at the table for a long time. Her heart screamed no, but her throat refused to fight him. After a long pause, she nodded in agreement.

"Very well. I’ll file the petition next week" Meera said.

"But be aware—the court will impose a cooling period. Ten to twelve months. It’s mandatory. Gives you both time to rethink"

"I understand"

Hemant said. Sonarika just nodded, eyes downcast.

Outside, the afternoon sun was blinding. Hemant walked toward his SUV without looking back, until he felt a hand on his wrist.

"Is this it?" Sonarika asked, her voice raw.

"Is this where we part ways?"

For the first time that day, his eyes glistened.

"The path will be there Sonarika and that path is Karan , but we will never walk that path ever again towards each other"

"But why? Hemant I understand I made a terrible mistake , but can't we find our way back to each other?"

"No we can't"

"Am I that cursed to you"

Hemant took a breather and responded

"No Sonarika , you were never a curse. Matter of fact , you were something opposite of that. But that is the problem , My sun , My light , My source of strength , My Sona. I cannot see her in you. The Sona I know and love , she is no longer standing before me. Instead in front of me is a woman who has seemingly found love in another man. If anything , I have only gratitude for you Sonarika. That instead of getting to know about the affair from someone else , you told it yourself. That I definitely appreciate. Deep down , even now , I still love my Sona , the woman who shared a life with me. But right now , I cannot find her!"

His confession created a chasm of doubt in Sonarika. Making her realize the truth to his words. As Sonarika looked at him helplessly with teary eyes , Hemant concluded.

"For now we are not parting ways, like the lawyer said , we have nearly a year time to prepare. But mentally , I am already separate from you because you are not my Sona. You can stay in the apartment , I am going to opt to sleep at my factory thanks to a comfortable room I build there in my office. Get used to this new norm. Soon… we’ll be separate forever"

He pulled away, climbed into the SUV, and drove off. Sonarika stood there until the sound of the engine faded. Then she sank onto the stone steps outside the building, knees folding under her, grief crashing over her in waves. Somewhere between the tears and the choking breaths, the truth settled in:

Her family was gone.

you are contradicting your own words man, you already know it still don't want to accept it

Quote:Hemanth does not know this, he still thinks Sonarika loves Vikram and she chose him over their marriage…Isn’t that misunderstanding in thinking that she doesn't love him, Yes her mistakes are there, sleeping with some one outside marriage is a terrible mistake and this confession even if it comes, Hemanth is still entitled to punish Sonarika and probably let her go but that decision when it comes after knowing everything would have been apt at this moment, Even though her choosing him over Vikram after cheating him doesn't change anything the outcome as its still considered as a breach of trust and a terrible mistake but it would give proper understanding to her that her mistake was that she did not reveal to Hemanth what she was missing in her marriage nor she seemed to pursue a path to correct their marriage instead she chose an alternative man which is the biggest mistake and that clarity is not given to Sonarika.

and about your point

Quote:So, there were three things that would have been disclosed before divorce had the conversations happen

1. Sonarika still loves Hemanth and chose him over Vikram

2. Hemanth or other readers or writer still think that it doesn’t matter because her confession is irrelevant despite her choosing Hemanth over Vikram because mistake was already done in breaching the trust, that clarity would have come for Sonarika with the conversations.

3. Hemanth rejecting Sonarika after knowing that she still loves him would be more apt because then he will be punishing her for her mistake and not because he is trying to keep her safe from his impending doom or letting her go as she now loves some other guy.

I wanted that clarity in writing hence my initial comments for Harry, what he wrote is nothing less fantastic, I am not criticizing him for this, I was merely giving my thoughts as an opinion. And I understand why others are saying it didn’t matter for Hemant because he is not the one to be blamed and I agree, but for Sonarika its life and death situation so her confession even if it is the last thing that she could accomplish would be the option she would take to give some hope to save her marriage whether Hemanth forgives her or not is not relevant here…we all know he won’t ....

let me put it this way -

man and women compare love of the partner or i say judge it on very different scale, for men if his partner sleep with other then it will be the clear indication of the trust love that he was holding for her vanished in the thin air just like that he start blaming himself doubting on everything, same for women they judge on the feeling and amount of value the partner had or given ( why it is this way there are number of research paper published you just google it {{everyone knows it deep down, even myself - how much i am be the me but it was there and it will always be there till there will be no men- men left as per the new study that recently came out}}), the trauma for both is similar as per their upbringing but the recovery time period from it depends on person to person bases means how many options are available what is the surrounding of the person etc..etc...despite this the love (- it was very subjective term, even gods can't define what is actually the love some says it was the total acceptance without asking any thing in return, some say it was total surrender etc.... ) or which i prefer to say is the "feel of the person" will always be there (some studies suggest it took around 8 years to overcome it, but i believe it will never be lost we just buried it deeper day by day)

So, it will be subjective, we can't question Harry's thought process in which he wrote the chapter on the feeling of sona, as i already mentioned male author can't depict the perfect female character on every aspect. we have to read between the lines what he wants to say.

now about your point.1 sona still loves hemanth and chose him over vikram, - right now we can't say truthfully about her
sona already knows what she was doing just read the chapter 18 & 19 for the better understanding

point.2 still holding to that conversation, Hemant in the hospital do you want the conversation there she tried it and what was the reaction shutdown completely, after at the homecoming she tried to put it again then also the same, the perfect place where the conversation might happens is at the attorney office just read "she wants to say no but....."

man even the character sona is understanding as mention in the chapters that the conversation beyond this will hurt hemnat more are you forgetting the phone call of the vikram at the hospital, what to say

point.3 of your is shall not be proceeds further why? because it will destroy the character of the hemant that harry was building from the starting as you are ignoring the episodes and reading selectively you are missing the point of the story, the point.3 is perfect for the old hemant which was Michael king but this is the story of hemnat present not the MK past. Author was continuously trying to build the difference between them both (inside we are same-same, same-same, but different, but still same) if you understand the meaning.

and the conversation one-on-one that you are seeking will come at the right moment and the right situation that we all can expects from Harry to deliver.

so as per your maturity i'm expecting you to hold your horse on this, and for anything further i'm open to it.

"Till another time"
