It looked almost deliberate
Like she had stepped out of a magazine, yet so effortlessly put-together.
Ravi’s breath caught for a moment.
His pulse quickened, and his mind wandered to the lingering warmth of the dream from last night,
Where Neetu and Sirisha had both been there, closer than ever.
He remembered the way Neetu had smiled at him, the way Sirisha had caught his gaze with a teasing, dangerous look.
But now… Sirisha was standing there in front of him, in real life.
And he couldn’t ignore how she looked, radiant, disarming,
The kind of beauty that felt like it could knock the breath out of him, yet she wore it so casually.
She had the kind of effortless charm that made you forget to breathe for a second.
"Wow. Look at you," she said, scanning him slowly. "Mr. Office Boy, all grown up."
"You’re early," he muttered, feeling the heat rise in his chest.
"For what?" she grinned. "I didn’t say I was coming."
"And yet… here you are."
She brushed past him, inviting herself in without waiting.
The scent of her coconut-lavender shampoo lingered in the air after she walked by, filling the space around him.
It was fresh, calming, but also too familiar in an unsettling way, like something that made his heart beat just a little faster.
"I was bored," she announced, collapsing onto the couch with ease, her movements fluid and effortless.
"And I figured, why not spend some time with the only guy who’s not scared of me."
"I might be," Ravi said, pulling off his shoes. "After yesterday, I’m considering it."
