Ravi chuckled nervously
Rubbing the back of his neck. “I was… hungry?”
“HUNGRY?” Sirisha’s eyes widened as she leaned forward.
“You both finished the entire Rasmalai bowl in one afternoon? What did you do? Bathe in it...?!”
Neetu’s face flushed instantly.
Ravi coughed and tried to stifle a grin, but it came out as an awkward laugh.
But their eyes met.
And just for a flicker of a moment,
The room seemed to throb with that sweet, lingering memory,
Neetu lying on the couch, Rasmalai dripping from her collarbone, his lips tracing the mess.
Their silence was just a beat too long.
Sirisha caught it.
Her jaw dropped dramatically.
“OH. MY. GOD. Wait… wait-wait-wait… WHAT DID I JUST SAY?!”
Neetu quickly snapped out of it. “Stop being filmi, Sirisha…”
Ravi covered his mouth, laughing nervously. “It’s not what you think.”
“Wait a minute…” she said, drawing her words out dramatically.
“You two were gone for ages. The door wasn’t opened for like five full minutes. There was no sound. No clanging from the kitchen. No plates. Just silence.”
Neetu tried to maintain composure. “Sirisha… don’t overthink—”
“Oh no no no,” Sirisha cut her off, waving a finger.
