Yeah I can understand the similarity. But honestly in my opinion , this arc was needed. That is the reason why this chapter had a lot of sex scenes. Because initially when I thought I should reveal the truth by other ways , it didn't feel intriguing enough. But to have Sonarika to go through a phase and then eventually make her understand that she is doing wrong and make her reveal it herself feels the right way because leading the story that way will help have the character have something to do.

Like I said , I initially concieved this story with the idea of Hemant and Sonarika being the lead characters. I developed this chapter in a way to make Sonarika finally see reason. Despite of days of adulterated sex with her so call "thrill" that is Vikram , she is still haunted by her nightmares of Hemant. But by this chapter's ending , she finally gets the clarity and she sees what she has to do. She finally confronts the cheater in her and her love triumps over it , which makes her do the definitive decision to reveal her truth to Hemant.

In the past she did hook and felt guilty. But this time , Vikram truly unlocked her. Made her see the betrayer within , she was no longer making excuses , she confronted her cheating self. Because now , her conflict is taking the "consequence" stage. She knows Hemant will be heartbroken , but still she wants to do it not to hurt him , but to free him from the mess she has become. This is Sonarika accepting her fate that she is fighting a loosing battle. She doesn't have the strength to hold on anymore , her sanity is not letting her cheat anymore. Which is why , Jabalpur special brings the resolve in Sonarika. She wants to burn in her consequence , but at the same time , she doesn't want Hemant to burn with her. Hence she is doing it for him , so that he can be free from the chaos in her life. Sonarika's arc right now is just a woman sacrificing herself to save her family.


This is the start of the consequence phase for Sonarika!
