Her fingers trembled slightly
But her body refused to show any hesitation.
It was a game, wasn’t it? At least, she had told herself it was.
A dangerous game. “But games come with consequences.”
And yet, in the space of that thought, she couldn’t bring herself to pull away.
She glanced at Ravi again, his eyes burning with want, with desire.
“He wants me, she realized, just as much as I want him. And I want this. I’ve wanted it for so long, but I’ve been holding back. Waiting for the right moment.”
But “was it right? What about Vamsi?” The thought didn’t fade, but Neetu knew that if she was to answer that,
She would have to face a truth she wasn’t sure she was ready for.
“Is this a betrayal?” The question lingered in her mind, unanswered.
Her gaze softened as Ravi continued to wait, his breath heavy with anticipation. “I don’t think I can turn back now.”
She let her eyes meet his, the moment stretching between them.
Her lips parted slightly, the challenge clear in her gaze.
“This is for me. Not for him. This moment is mine.” I already said
“I’m not going to fight it any longer”. She said to herself again
... ... ... ...
"You know what to do, Ravi," she whispered,
Her voice low and thick with both the weight of her decision and the thrill of what was coming.
"Clean it up, the way you did before."
She didn’t need to say more.
He knew what she meant.
She had made her choice.
And with that, she felt a weight lift from her shoulders,
Even as a new tension took its place.
The tension of inevitability. Of crossing the line.
The line she knew she would never be able to uncross.
But her body refused to show any hesitation.
