Meghana’s fingers brushed his hand again
This time lingering, soft, almost a caress.
“Looks like you’re getting a taste of everything tonight,” she murmured,
Her voice so quiet it was almost a breath. “And I wonder... how much more you’re willing to taste.”
Abhi swallowed hard, the control he was trying to maintain slipping away as the heat between them burned stronger.
“Maybe... just a little more,” he said, voice rough. “But only if the flavor is worth it.”
The waiter arrived with the final course, desserts, a tray of fragrant Double Ka Meetha and Qubani ka Meetha,
Their sweetness filling the air like an invitation.
But neither Abhi, Meghana, nor Varnika paid it much attention.
Instead, they were caught in the thick, electric atmosphere between them,
The room fading into the background as they gave in to the growing tension.
Varnika slid closer to him, her leg pressing against his once more,
Her body just close enough to feel the heat radiating from him. “I think,” she said, voice low,
“you’ll find that the sweetness after the spice is always the most... satisfying.”
Abhi’s chest tightened, and for a moment, everything in him wanted to close the distance, to end the teasing, the waiting.
But then Meghana reached across the table, her hand on his,
Fingers curling over his with a firm, possessive grip.
“We’ll take our time,” she said, her voice low, like a promise.
“Every bite... every second. We’re not in a hurry.”
And as the sweet, spiced flavors of the dessert lingered in the air,
The three of them, locked in an unspoken agreement, knew that the night had only just begun.
