He smiled back. “I wouldn’t be anywhere else.”

She stretched slightly, the sheet slipping a little, revealing more of her bare shoulder, and one of her breasts.

She didn't cover

“Good,” she said softly. “Because I’m not done having you here.”

Their fingers found each other again under the covers.

She shifted closer, now fully tucked into his side. “Do you feel different?”

“Yes,” he replied, honest. “I feel like something inside me opened.”

She rested her head against his chest. “You opened beautifully.”

There was silence again, but this time filled with warmth.

Then, with a teasing murmur, Meghana said, “We didn’t eat the dessert I made last night…”

He laughed. “I had something sweeter.”

She rolled her eyes. “You’re becoming flirtatious.”

“Too late to stop me now.”

They both chuckled softly.

Then, quieter, she added, “We’ll have to figure out… what this means, you know?”

“I know,” he said gently. “But not right now. Right now, I just want this. Us. Like this.”

Meghana nodded, eyes closed again, hand on his chest.

Outside, the city had begun to stir. But in here, time was still their own.
