She sighed and turned again
This time onto her back.
It wasn’t guilt.
She had done nothing wrong.
It wasn’t anger.
That had passed.
It was just something missing.
Not big. Not loud. Just… missing.
A certain energy in the home
One that used to quietly exist when Ravi was nearby
Offering a passing smile, a half-joke over dinner,
A “Didi” that landed differently every time.
Now it wasn’t there.
Not fully.
And it bothered her more than she was ready to admit.
She closed her eyes.
Took a slow breath.
Maybe tomorrow she would feel better.
Maybe things would start to settle.
