Chapter 12: Babu (Act 1)

Lina's body ached as she slowly peeled herself off the stained sheets of Uncle Lim's mattress. Her pussy and ass were sore, the remnants of Uncle Lim and Alan's relentless fucking still leaking from her holes. She could feel the dried cum on her thighs, a grim reminder of the night's events. Her big tits, usually perky and full, felt heavy and bruised from the rough handling. She winced as she stood, her body protesting with each movement. She had to get out of there. She had to get home to Rahim.

The shower was a relief, the hot water washing away the grime and the evidence of her ordeal. She scrubbed her skin raw, trying to erase the memory of Uncle Lim's gnarled hands and Alan's eager dick. She had never felt so used, so violated. But she had no choice. Rahim needed the money, and she had to do what she had to do. Or so she thought.

As she dressed, she could feel the soreness in her ass and pussy. Every step was a reminder of the night's events. She collected the money, the crumpled notes a stark contrast to the pristine white of the massage parlor. She didn't bother locking the place as she left, her mind focused on getting home.

The night was quiet, the streets deserted. She had missed the last bus, and her phone was dead. She knew the shortcut home, a winding path through the outskirts of the city. It would take her about 45 minutes, but she had no choice. She had to get home.

Midway through her journey, she heard a low growl. She turned to see a pack of stray dogs, their eyes glinting in the moonlight. She tried to tiptoe past them, her heart pounding in her chest. But they had seen her, and they were not going to let her pass. They surrounded her, barking and snarling. One of them started to do mock charges at her, its teeth bared. She felt helpless, her body already sore and bruised. She fell to the ground, her pants and shirt torn by the dogs' teeth.

Just as the rest were about to pounce, a stick flew through the air, hitting one of the dogs and dispersing the pack. Lina looked up to see a man, his face dirty and disheveled, his clothes torn and smelling of sweat and dirt. He was a beggar, she could tell. He introduced himself as Babu, a beggar who lived in a makeshift tent nearby.

"Thank you, Babu," Lina said, her voice barely a whisper. She was grateful for his help, but she was also wary. She was alone with a stranger, in the middle of the night, her body sore and bruised. She didn't know what to expect.

Babu, however, seemed to sense her discomfort. He kept his distance, his eyes never leaving her face. "You're welcome"

"You're hurt," he said, his voice rough yet gentle. He moved closer, his hand reaching out to touch her bruised arm. Lina flinched, not the pain.

Babu offered to take Lina to his tent to tend to her wounds, and despite her reservations, she agreed.

The tent was a small, cramped space, barely large enough for two people to sit comfortably. The air inside was thick with the scent of damp earth, sweat, and something unidentifiable...something that made Lina’s nose wrinkle instinctively. The walls were made of tattered tarpaulin, patched in places with scraps of cloth and plastic bags.

A single, flickering lantern hung from a makeshift hook, casting uneven shadows across the space. The floor was strewn with old newspapers, discarded food wrappers, and a threadbare blanket that looked like it had seen better days. Babu shuffled into the tent after her, his movements slow and deliberate. He gestured toward the blanket, his voice raspy but kind. “Sit, sit. You need rest. I’ll find something for your wounds.”

Lina hesitated, her body still trembling from the encounter with the dogs and the events that had unfolded earlier in the night. She was sore, her legs aching, and the bruises on her arms and thighs throbbed with every movement. But there was something about Babu’s presence...something oddly comforting despite his appearance. She lowered herself onto the blanket, wincing as she did so.

“Thank you,” she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. “You didn’t have to help me.”

Babu waved her words away with a dismissive gesture, his face softening into a crooked smile. “No one deserves to be hurt like that. Especially not someone as kind as you.”

Lina’s cheeks flushed at his words. She wasn’t used to such direct praise, especially from someone she barely knew. She glanced around the tent again, her eyes landing on a small pile of belongings in the corner...a tin cup, a piece of bread wrapped in newspaper, and a worn-out book.

Babu noticed her gaze and chuckled softly. “Not much, but it’s home. I don’t need much.”
“How do you live like this?” Lina asked before she could stop herself. Her eyes widened, and she quickly shook her head. “I’m sorry, that was rude.”

Babu shrugged, his shoulders lifting and falling in a tired motion. “It’s not rude. It’s honest. And honesty is rare these days.” He knelt beside her, pulling a small cloth from his pocket and pouring water from a plastic bottle onto it. “Let me clean those cuts.”

Lina nodded, her breath catching as he gently dabbed at the scbangs on her arms. His touch was surprisingly gentle, his hands calloused but careful.

"You have strong hands," Lina said, breaking the silence.

Babu looked up and smiled. "I've done a lot of hard work in my life," he replied.

She watched him as he worked, noticing the lines etched into his face..lines that spoke of a hard life, a life filled with struggles she couldn’t begin to understand.

“Why do you live alone?” she asked softly, her curiosity getting the better of her.
Bau paused, his hand hovering over her arm for a moment before he continued. “I chose this life. People… they complicate things. I prefer the simplicity of being alone.”

Lina frowned, her heart aching for him. “But doesn’t it get lonely?”
Babu smiled, a sad, distant smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes. “Sometimes. But loneliness is better than betrayal.”

The words hung heavy in the air, and Lina felt a pang of guilt. She thought of Rahim, of Uncle Lim, of the events that had brought her here tonight. She wanted to say something to comfort Babu, to explain herself but the words stuck in her throat. Babu finished cleaning her wounds and leaned back, his eyes studying her intently.

"You’re not like most people, Lina. I can see it in your eyes. You’ve been hurt, but you’re still kind. That’s rare.”
Lina looked away, her cheeks burning. “I don’t feel very kind right now.”
Babu chuckled softly, the sound low and raspy. “Kindness isn’t a feeling. It’s a choice. And tonight, you chose to trust me. That takes courage.”

Lina’s throat tightened, and she blinked back tears. She wasn’t sure why Babu’s words affected her so deeply, but they did. Maybe it was the rawness of them, the honesty that seemed to come so easily to him. Or maybe it was the fact that he saw something in her that she wasn’t sure she saw in herself anymore.

The storm outside grew louder, the wind howling against the tent and rain beginning to patter against the tarpaulin. Lina shivered, pulling her torn shirt tighter around her body.
“Here,” Babu said, reaching for the threadbare blanket and dbanging it over her shoulders. “It’s not much, but it’ll keep you warm.”

Lina nodded, pulling the blanket closer. “Thank you. For everything.”
Babu smiled again, his eyes crinkling at the corners. “You don’t need to thank me. Just promise me one thing.”
“What?” Lina asked, her voice barely audible over the storm.
“Promise me you’ll be kinder to yourself,” he said softly. “You deserve it.”

Lina’s breath caught, and she nodded slowly, her throat too tight to speak. She wasn’t sure if she could keep that promise, but for the first time in a long time, she wanted to try.
