Where the Story Stands — A Heartfelt Pause:
I want to take a moment to explain where the story is headed — or rather, where it’s not headed for now.
The main focus of this story has always been Raj. He is the central character because he was the first to truly notice Pavi, and she’s drawn to him. She wants Kartik to be like Raj — not anyone else. That connection is the core emotional thread of this tale.
Prakash was introduced later as a side character to provide lighter, more chill moments. Arjun came in to bring emotional logic and depth, and Anusha was added for a companion’s perspective. But despite all these layers, most readers have gravitated strongly toward Prakash’s storyline. They liked seeing Pavi humiliate Prakash, and many are eager to see him get some kind of comeuppance or “giving back.”
The problem is, realistically, that kind of payback is neither easy nor believable. If Prakash tried to get back at Pavi the way readers want, it would likely ruin his life or career — or force Pavi to break herself and lose the life she currently leads. That’s just not how things work in real life, and I want to keep this story authentic and believable.
I’ve already written around ten parts focusing on Raj — no explicit sex, but moments of toplessness and a kiss during dinner, with Radhika present but unaware. However, I’ve decided not to post those parts now. Instead, I’m choosing to pause the story.
Narrating this story has taken a significant amount of time and effort. While reader response has been generally positive, overall viewership hasn’t reached the level I hoped for. More importantly, I’m not comfortable turning this story into cheap porn or forcing it into a style that doesn’t feel true to the characters or my vision, just to please the crowd.
So, I’m putting the story on pause. This isn’t necessarily the end forever — if a new, compelling plot comes along that feels right, I may pick it up again. But for now, I want to step back and give myself space.
I’m not stopping writing altogether. I’ll write back in the future if any original, fresh plot comes to my mind as a new story or new thread.
