Meghana:
“Tell me about it. My mornings have been stiff and awkward. I kept looking at the yoga mat… and sighing.”
Abhi:
“Mine didn’t even get unrolled.”
A beat passed. Then her tone shifted just slightly, lighter,
A hint of a smile forming in her words.
Meghana:
“Maybe it’s time we stop sighing and start moving again.”
Abhi:
“So… yoga date tomorrow morning?”
His voice playful but low, rich with intent.
Meghana:
“6:45? I’ll unlock the door like old times. You can quietly slip in and pretend like nothing ever happened.”
Abhi:
“Or everything did. And we’re just really good at carrying it with grace.”
There was a pause.
She didn’t speak.
But he could hear her breathing.
He knew that sound
It was her soft exhale when she smiled without wanting to.
Then she added, a little more serious now:
Meghana:
“By the way… I spoke to Varnika yesterday.”
Abhi sat up straighter, heart quietly alert.
Abhi:
“How is she?”
