Ninth Date -
Gautam's message arrived like a spark of electricity, igniting Geeta's heart with anticipation. "I will be at home soon," it read. The clock ticked away, each second stretching into eternity as she sat in the staff room, her college work completed, her bag packed, and her mind racing with thoughts of their reunion.
Geeta's day had finally come to an end, but the bell seemed to mock her, refusing to ring. "Oh, why hasn't the bell rung yet?" she thought, her excitement bubbling over. Today was the day she had been waiting for, a day that had felt like an eternity in the making.
When the bell finally rang, she leaped from her seat, her heart pounding as she dashed outside. Just then, Bharat appeared, his presence a sudden interruption to her eager escape.
"Miss, Miss... good evening... I need to ask you something," he called out, breathless.
In her haste, Geeta replied, "Bharat, I have to go; can we discuss tomorrow?" She barely registered the look of surprise on his face, her mind already racing towards Gautam.
Bharat noticed the unusual brightness in Geeta's demeanor, the way she moved with a newfound energy. Today, she was not the slow, somber figure he was accustomed to; today, she was a whirlwind of excitement. He walked alongside her, chatting as they made their way to the grocery store, but Geeta's thoughts were elsewhere.
Once home, Geeta quickly closed the doors behind her, her heart racing with anticipation. She took a swift bath, dressed in a beautiful saree, let her hair down, and settled in the hall, glancing at the clock. Thirty more minutes until Gautam would arrive.
Sitting on the sofa, she nervously twirled her hair, counting the seconds as they ticked by. The sound of the gate creaking open sent her heart into a frenzy. She closed her eyes for a moment, took a deep breath, and felt the rush of excitement as she approached the door.
"Geeta..." Gautam's voice was like music to her ears.
She opened her eyes, and her heart raced even faster. A smile spread across her lips, and a shiver ran down her spine as she looked at him. With excitement bubbling over, she kicked off her shoes and opened the door, her heart swelling with love as she embraced him tightly, showering him with kisses on his cheeks, nose, forehead, and chin.
"Umm umm," she murmured, her joy spilling over as Gautam kissed her cheeks. He held her waist and whispered in her ear, "Wait, wait..."
She paused, their eyes locking in a moment that felt suspended in time. Goutham covered her cheeks with both hands, a shy smile playing on her lips.
"How have you been? I'm sorry for making you wait," Gautam said, his voice soft and sincere.
"Why do you say that? This is all for us, right?" Geeta replied, her heart swelling with affection.
He kissed her forehead and then her nose, and she felt a warmth spread through her. "I will freshen up first; have you made a cup of tea?" he asked.
"Hmm... I haven't had any either; I've been waiting for you since I reached," she admitted, her heart fluttering.
Geeta went to prepare tea, her mind racing with thoughts of their time together. After they drank, Gautam took her hand and pulled her close, their eyes locking in a gaze that spoke volumes. Geeta felt a rush of shyness wash over her.
"Why are you looking so beautiful today?" Gautam asked, his voice teasing.
"Stop it..." Geeta replied, turning her face away, but unable to hide her smile. She kissed his forehead and caressed his left side with her right hand, feeling the warmth of his presence.
"Mmm..." she sighed as he kissed her right cheek, and she returned the kiss, tracing her lips with her fingers as he wrapped his arms around her shoulders. They both fell back onto the sofa, lost in each other.
Geeta kissed his forehead, cheeks, and chin, and as Gautam pulled her saree aside, her fair neck glistened with the light of the room. He leaned in to kiss her, but she shyly turned her gaze away, a smile playing on her lips.
He kissed between her earrings, holding her waist as he did so. "Ah..." Geeta gasped, feeling the warmth of his affection.
"I have been waiting for a month to come to you, my beloved Geeta, to kiss you. Um, um..." he murmured, showering her neck with kisses. Geeta closed her eyes, holding Gautam's head tightly, intertwining their legs as she pulled him closer.
"Ah... I have been waiting too," she confessed, her heart racing.
They kissed again and again, lost in the moment, until Gautam finally pulled away, leaving Geeta breathless. For ten minutes, she felt a rush of excitement, but as the moment faded, she closed her eyes, feeling a mix of pleasure and longing.
Gautam got up, kissed her three times on the face, and drank some water. Geeta held his waist, feeling a sense of intimacy that made her heart flutter.
"Darling..." Gautam began.
"Yes..." Geeta replied, her heart racing.
"What did you cook?" he asked, his eyes lighting up.
"I made chicken; you like it, right?" she said, her heart swelling with pride.
"Okay, I will meet my friend for a while; I have some important work. You can have dinner before I come back," he said, his tone casual.
"Alright..." Geeta replied, feeling a twinge of disappointment.
Gautam got dressed and left, and Geeta sat up, pondering why he never invited her to join him for anything. She got up, put on her nightgown, tied her hair, and started cooking, her mind racing with thoughts of their time together.
When Gautam returned, they had dinner, and the conversation flowed easily between them. Geeta shared stories about her college, while Gautam recounted his day. Just then, Geeta's family called, and she spent time talking to them, feeling a sense of warmth and connection.
After dinner, they cuddled in bed, Gautam pulling Geeta closer and kissing her cheeks. "Didn't you bring me anything from Dubai?" she asked, her curiosity piqued.
Gautam seemed to forget, his expression shifting. "Oh, I forgot; I will get it," he said, quickly retrieving a box from his bag.
Geeta's heart raced as she opened the box, the light reflecting off a diamond necklace inside, sparkling in her eyes. Her cheeks flushed with joy as she looked at Gautam, who smiled back at her.
"It's a diamond necklace," he said, his voice filled with warmth.
"Isn’t this expensive?" Geeta asked, her eyes wide with surprise.
" expensive, or do you like it?" Gautam replied, his gaze steady.
Overwhelmed with happiness, Geeta admired the necklace, which was adorned with diamonds shaped like three flowers in the center, shining brightly against her skin. She fastened it around her neck, and Gautam stood behind her, securing the clasp.
"Thank you so much!" she exclaimed, turning to face him.
Gautam hugged her from behind, his voice soft. "Why are you thanking me, my dear? You look so beautiful; I thought of this when I saw it. I just thought, 'How beautiful you are, and this will look even more beautiful on you.'"
He kissed her cheeks, and Geeta, feeling a rush of affection, turned to kiss him on the lips. Their kiss deepened, more passionate this time, and they fell back onto the bed, lost in each other.
Gautam pulled up Geeta's nightgown, kissing her neck and shoulders, while he slipped his pajama pants down, their bodies entwined in a dance of intimacy. Geeta hugged him tightly, feeling a rush of pleasure as Gautam thrust into her.
"Ah..." she gasped, her body responding to his every movement.
"Um... ah..." she breathed, lost in the moment.
"Yes, Geeta... how long I have waited for this..." Gautam murmured, kissing her again.
Geeta held his waist tightly, feeling immense pleasure as he increased his pace. "Ah... ah..." she cried out, lost in the waves of ecstasy.
After a few kisses, Gautam slowed down, and Geeta closed her eyes, surrendering to the moment. He kissed her cheek and fell asleep beside her, leaving her in a state of dissatisfaction.
The next morning, Geeta woke up to the sound of Vimala's voice. "Hey Geeta, why are you up so late? Your husband has come, wow..." he exclaimed, a teasing smile on his face.
Geeta smiled shyly, her heart still fluttering from the night before. "Oh, did you not know?" she replied, her mind drifting back to the intimacy they had shared.
As she spoke outside, inside, a lingering feeling of unfulfilled desire tugged at her heart. Although she felt happy for the time they spent together, her body craved more pleasure, more connection.
After completing her household chores, she took a bath and prepared breakfast. Gautam, too, freshened up, and they shared a meal together. During breakfast, Gautam received a call, spending an hour discussing work matters, leaving Geeta feeling frustrated and neglected.
Deciding to take matters into her own hands, Geeta went to the market to buy groceries and start cooking. Even then, Gautam remained busy with his work on the laptop, oblivious to her growing frustration.
Once Gautam finished, he looked at Geeta with hunger. "Ugh... all this work has made my head spin. Did you cook? Shall we eat?" he asked, his tone casual.
Geeta felt a wave of disappointment wash over her. She sat silently, not responding.
"What happened?" Gautam asked, noticing her silence.
"Since I woke up, it's been the same work, and you haven't paid attention to me," she finally admitted, her voice tinged with hurt.
"What can I do? It's work," he replied, his tone defensive.
He understood her feelings, but he also knew that his job was demanding.
In the afternoon, Swaroopa came to visit with her son, Sriram. "Is Geeta not here?" she called out, looking for her.
Geeta appeared, surprised to see her. "Oh, Swaroopa, you are here! I didn't know you would come," she said, glancing at Gautam.
Gautam greeted them, and Swaroopa introduced her son. "This is my son, Sriram. We are looking for a house. How much is the rent?" she asked.
Gautam led them to see the house, which Geeta had shown Swaroopa last week. They liked it, and as they discussed the details, Geeta couldn't help but notice Sriram. He was tall, with nice curly hair and well-defined arms, a college student with a charming face. When he looked at Geeta, she felt a strange flutter in her heart, a mix of shyness and intrigue.
After discussing the rent, Gautam asked, "When will you move in?"
Sriram replied, "Brother, our old house will be demolished in another ten days. I have my degree semester exams starting tomorrow. We will finish our exams in about five days. If we come the next day, it will disturb my studies while shifting."
"Yes, studying is important, Sriram. If that's the case, come next week to see the house. If you need anything, call me. Geeta will also be available in the evening; you can ask her," Gautam said, handing over his phone number.
Once they left, Geeta spent time chatting with Vimala while Gautam stayed at home, watching something on TV.
That night, after dinner, they went to bed.
The next morning, Geeta prepared everything and kissed Gautam before leaving for college.
"Why are you walking when you have a car?" he asked, noticing her choice.
"It's nearby; I just have to cross the road. Why take the car for such a short distance? Besides, walking feels good," she replied, her heart light.
"Hmm... your choice," Gautam said, shrugging.
On her way, Geeta spotted rose plant with no flowers. She thought they might have been picked and decided to leave it be.
As soon as she stepped inside the college gate, Bharat ran up to her, excitement radiating from him. "Good morning, Miss," he said, his face beaming.
Geeta smiled at his cheerful demeanor. "Good morning, Bharat. Haven't you gone to class yet?" she asked.
Bharat stretched out his right hand, presenting her with a rose. "Miss, this rose is for you."
Geeta's lips curved. She loved roses, and Bharat seemed to know that, having given her one for the second time. She noticed how attentive he had been in class lately, and she found herself developing a fondness for him.
"Why did you bring me a flower, Bharat?" she asked, her curiosity piqued.
"Miss, I told you that day, you look very beautiful. Whenever I see a rose on my way to college, I think of you. That's why I brought it," he explained, his eyes shining with admiration.
"Thank you so much, Bharat," Geeta replied, tucking the flower into her hair.
Bharat's gaze lingered on her, and she felt a warmth spread through her. Just then, he smiled, and Geeta couldn't help but smile back playfully before walking away.
During the morning break, Bharat came to the staff room where Geeta was standing. "What is it, Bharat?" she asked, noticing him approach.
"Miss, you told me to go to tuition; whose place should I go to?" he asked, his expression earnest.
"Go to the physics teacher," Geeta suggested.
"Miss, he only teaches science; you teach math, right?" Bharat pointed out, and Geeta realized he had a point.
"That's true, but I have never taught anyone tuition," she admitted.
"Miss, you teach math very well; I get scared of the science teacher," Bharat confessed, his eyes wide.
Geeta couldn't help but smile at his honesty. "Why, Bharat?" she asked, intrigued.
"I can't talk to him like I can with you," he replied, his sincerity touching her.
"Alright, Bharat, I’ll be tutoring you from now," she said, her heart softening.
Bharat's eyes sparkled with joy at her agreement. "Thank you, Miss," he said, his voice filled with gratitude.
As he was about to leave for class, he turned back, a thought striking him. "Miss, I don't know your house."
Geeta smiled, "Oh Bharat, come with me to our house this evening; you can see it, and from tomorrow, you can come for tuition."
"Okay, Miss," he replied, his excitement palpable.
In the evening, Bharat stood waiting for Geeta in front of the college gate, looking around eagerly. "I am waiting for you, Miss," he said, his voice bright.
They walked together, and Geeta looked beautiful in her green saree. Bharat was captivated by her, feeling an urge to see more of her. He walked slowly, lost in thought, while Geeta led the way, unaware of his gaze.
As they reached Geeta's house, Bharat said, "Miss, I will leave now; I will come tomorrow."
"Come inside, Bharat, just for a moment," Geeta invited, her heart racing.
Once inside, Gautam was there. Seeing Bharat, Gautam asked, "Who is this boy?"
Geeta replied, "He is from my class; I asked him to come for tuition. He is in the 10th grade."
"Oh, he should study well, boy," Gautam said, his tone encouraging.
"Sure, sir," Bharat replied, his respect for Gautam evident.
"Can I ask you something?" Gautam continued.
"Please go ahead, sir," Bharat said, eager to respond.
"Since the lady of the house is alone, you should help her with some small tasks now and then," Gautam suggested, a smile on his face.
Geeta interjected, "What are you saying? Can’t I do my own work?"
Gautam chuckled, and Bharat looked confused.
"He is quite tall; he is just a kid. What’s your name boy?" Gautam asked.
"Bharat, sir," he replied.
"Madam, whatever you ask him to do, he will do it," Gautam assured her.
"Definitely, sir," Bharat added, his enthusiasm evident.
Geeta sighed, "You are saying this, but Bharat, you should come tomorrow evening at 7, okay? From 7 to 9."
"Okay, Miss, I will come. Bye," Bharat said, waving as he left.
After Bharat departed, Gautam turned to Geeta. "Get ready quickly; let’s go to the movie for the second show."
"But it’s so sudden," Geeta protested.
"Come on, hurry up," Gautam urged, his excitement infectious.
"Alright, I will be ready in a moment," she relented, her heart fluttering at the thought of spending time with him.
They went to the theater, bought tickets, and entered the dimly lit room. There weren't many people inside, and they settled in the corner of the front row, where a couple was already seated, lost in their own world.
The man had his arm around his wife, kissing her neck before the show even started. Geeta thought, "Oh, this guy seems to have come for that purpose; they chose the corner seat for that reason. How romantic."
As she was lost in thought, Gautam wrapped his arm around Geeta's shoulders, pulling her close. His hand rested on her shoulder, and she felt a warmth spread through her as the show began, the screen lighting up their faces with flickering shadows.
In that moment, Geeta felt a mix of excitement and contentment, knowing that their journey together was just beginning.
“ In the theatre, the AC was on, and as it touched my neck coolly, it felt refreshing. At that moment, he wrapped his warm arms around my neck. I leaned in closer and rested on his chest. Honestly, if there was no handle between the two seats, I would have wanted to hug him tightly. The movie started, and we were watching. He placed his hand on me, but even after ten minutes, he didn't do anything else. I thought he might be waiting for my permission, so I pressed my left hand against him. Still, there was no response. He was engrossed in the movie. Then, as I was looking ahead, I noticed a couple sitting in front of us also sitting closely together. He, too, had his right hand on his wife, just like Gautam had on me. I was watching. That hand was moving. Why was it moving? That question piqued my curiosity at that moment.
After a while, he leaned forward and rested his head on her thigh. I realized she had closed her eyes. Her head had tilted and fallen back against the seat. For a moment, it moved. I understood that her thighs were trembling. I could imagine he was caressing her waist.
I wasn't watching the movie; I was watching them. I noticed he got up from his seat and sat on his knees in front of her. I didn't know if anyone else was watching, but I was only watching them. She had her hands on his shoulders, pulling him closer, her eyes closed, and her lips quivering as if she was about to kiss him. In that darkness, I couldn't see clearly, but I could imagine the girl's situation, holding her breath, moving her body against his, swaying in the seat.
Gautam had his arms around me, but he didn't look at me even once; they both were not watching the movie at all; they were in another world.
Meanwhile, the lights came on for the interval, and they quickly sat up straight, and she adjusted her hair.
After the interval, it was the same thing again; he had his hand on her, resting his head against hers, kissing her cheeks. She also turned and kissed him back. Her right hand was moving on his left side. There was a handle in between, so there was no chance to hold her waist. I was astonished; in the dark, he had his hand on her waist, and with his right hand, he was squeezing her breast. That's why she was swaying comfortably in her seat. Suddenly, she pushed him away, and they both seemed to have a conversation and got up to leave. I knew they couldn't hold back any longer; they would go home and dancing in bed. ”
I was left watching the movie, which had turned into a bit of comedy, laughing to myself. Gautam didn't even give me a single kiss. I didn't feel like being there at all; I was just there for Gautam. The movie ended. On the way home, we had dinner at a restaurant and then went to bed.
The next day, he was as enthusiastic about me as he was the day before, but not today. I fell asleep thinking about why he was disturbed.
As I was watching, a week passed, and tomorrow he would leave. The same 2 minutes of Maggie happened yesterday. In reality, it wasn't even 2 minutes; I didn't say anything. My husband gives me everything, but he doesn't give me that, and I feel a lot of dissatisfaction. ”
------------------------------------------
The next day,
Gautam: Geeta, I will leave, be careful.
Geeta: Call me after you reach there.
Gautam: Hmm... I will.
Geeta stood with her face downcast. Lifting her head slightly,
Gautam: What's wrong?
Geeta: nothing.
She submerged her thoughts.
They both hugged. Gautam kissed Geeta.
Gautam: Well, I will leave, be careful.
Geeta: Yes... you be careful.
Gautam left. Geeta locked all the doors, feeling a bit sad when her husband was away, and when he was home, he didn't pay as much attention as she thought. But she loved him; Geeta loved him a lot. She told herself that as time passes, everything would settle for better, and with that thought, she fell asleep.

Gautam went to Dubai. Won’t return for next four months; what winds would tickle Geetha’s desperation in meantime?
Gautam's message arrived like a spark of electricity, igniting Geeta's heart with anticipation. "I will be at home soon," it read. The clock ticked away, each second stretching into eternity as she sat in the staff room, her college work completed, her bag packed, and her mind racing with thoughts of their reunion.
