Adultery Antarvasana: The Forbidden Fire – *** Varnika's First Surrender ***
#90
The sound of a door latch turning was small. But it broke the air like a thunderclap.

Both Meghana and Abhi startled slightly, their bodies still close but frozen

Her hands slipped from his cheeks. His breath halted mid-chest.

The bedroom door opened halfway.

Varnika emerged, barefoot and sleepy

Dressed in a loose lavender tee that hung off one shoulder and shorts that matched the disarray of her half-tied hair.

She blinked once, adjusting to the light, her eyes sweeping the room

And landing on them.

She froze...

Everything was written on the air.

Meghana had already shifted back an inch

But the color still lingered in her cheeks.

Abhi sat upright, his legs still spread, sweat along his neck, the curve of his jaw betraying more emotion than he meant to show.

He cleared his throat softly.

Varnika tilted her head.

Her lips curled into a slow, teasing smile.

“Oh,” she said, with mock innocence. “Morning session still going?”

Her voice was light.

But her eyes… they held something else.

A flicker of understanding.

A brief, quiet hurt.

But she masked it instantly, stepping forward with an exaggerated stretch and a yawn. “Sorry I interrupted,”

she added sweetly. “Didn’t realize it was... such a deep pose.”

Meghana gave her a calm look, though her breath hadn’t quite returned to normal. “We were finishing up.”

Varnika’s gaze shifted to Abhi, and lingered a half-second too long.

“Yeah,” she said, smiling wider now. “Looked like it.”

She walked past them toward the kitchen, tying her hair into a messy bun as she moved.

But before turning fully, she glanced over her shoulder.

“You should teach me that one too, akka,” she said.

“If it comes with kisses, I might even wake up early.”

Abhi turned away, adjusting the towel on his shoulder, pretending to reach for his water bottle.

Meghana didn’t respond at first. Then, softly: “Not every pose is for everyone.”

It came out quiet. Neutral. But Varnika caught the weight in it.

She didn’t press.

Instead, she opened the fridge and poured herself water.

The morning light touched her face just as she turned again.

She took a long sip, leaned on the counter, and looked at Abhi, this time with a different expression.

Not teasing.

Not playful.

Something between appraisal and restraint.

Then she said lightly, “Anyway… you both looked good together.”

Meghana stood slowly. “We should wind up,” she said. “It’s already late.”

Abhi nodded silently.

He stood too, reaching down to fold the mat slowly.

His fingers moved deliberately, almost too focused, like if he slowed the act, maybe his body would settle too.

Varnika walked past again, not saying anything.

But as she passed him, her voice dropped to a near-whisper, just enough for him to hear: “You’re dangerous in this house, Abhi.”

Then she disappeared into the bedroom with a faint laugh.

Meghana’s eyes met his once more.

She didn’t smile. But there was something else, a calm knowing.

She wasn’t ashamed.

She wasn’t flustered.

But she had seen something change too.

And in that moment, something unspoken passed between them again.

A promise that nothing was over.

Just interrupted.
