He looked at her again—barefoot, radiant, unreadable—and something inside him shifted.

This is lovely writing, especially the key dialogues. The line, "You are breathing faster," when Abhi and Meghana's backs are touching, is particularly effective. Abhi's response, "Maybe the room is warmer," subtly hints that both of them are getting warmer, not just in temperature, but emotionally and physically too.
The playfulness amidst the building tension is great, creating an exotic and intriguing dynamic between them. It's the kind of subtle interaction that speaks volumes about the unspoken desires and growing connection between the characters.
