They sat down, back to back.
Meghana adjusted slightly, making sure their spines aligned.
Her back was warm against his, her shoulder blades delicate and smooth through the thin fabric of her sports bra.
The moment their backs touched, Abhi felt something settle—and stir.
Her voice came soft behind him.
“Sit tall, close your eyes. Breathe with me.”

He followed her rhythm, breath by breath.
One inhale.
One exhale.
Then another.
And with each passing breath, something drew tighter between them.
Abhi was hyper-aware now—not just of the scent of her skin, or the smooth curve of her lower back grazing his—but of her energy. Of how calmly she was inviting him into her ... rhythm.
She leaned back, just a little more. It wasn’t accidental.
He did too, unconsciously. Their spines pressed, their shoulders touched, their heat mingled in stillness.
And something changed.
