but don’t you think too many characters might turn the story into a mess?

Well the story demands that many characters considering the scope of the setting. There is still some major characters that is yet to be introduced who will have big roles in Part 2 of the saga. But the story will be lead by Hemant and Sonarika and the characters surrounding them. Sometimes there will be other characters that will get short POVs but that will be important to the arc going forward. Also spoiler alert for the future , the story will get dangerous in the future to the point many characters might just not survive!
