Fantasy CRUSADE OF KAVYA IN AGARTALA
#47
Chapter -10

Who is the inspector, Chandan?

Chandan was born in the rural hills of Tripura, in a humble farming family. Growing up with limited means, he worked hard through college and later cracked the state security officer entrance exams. It was a proud day when he got his posting his first salary and helped move his family from their village to a modest rental home in Agartala.

At 31, Chandan had already earned the respect of his peers. Calm under pressure, honest to the core, and driven by duty he quickly rose through the ranks. But life had a surprise for him outside the uniform.

His love story with Shalini (Age- 30), a sharp-witted, confident woman from Kerala, began on Instagram. What started as a casual exchange over photography and nature reels turned into daily chats, video calls, and eventually love.
When their wedding was announced, a few eyebrows were raised. Shalini was not only from a different state, but also had a striking presence graceful, intelligent, and outspoken. Some whispered about her beauty. Other men and his friends questioned how this son of bitch got this beautiful Mallu girl. But those who knew them well saw the truth: they were deeply in sync, both valuing simplicity, loyalty, and mutual respect.

Shalini came from a modest, middle-class family in Kerala. Her father had spent most of his life working in the Gulf, ensuring his family never lacked the essentials. Thanks to his sacrifices, Shalini completed her education without struggling and had the comfort of waiting to decide her next step.

During that time, she became deeply involved in Instagram especially in posting short reels. It wasn’t fame she was chasing, but expression. She enjoyed the creativity and connection. Among the many followers and casual admirers, one person stood out Chandan.
His messages weren’t just compliments; they carried warmth, wit, and honesty. A few chats turned into regular conversations, and soon, a long-distance bond took root. They found in each other something rare: simplicity and sincerity.

But love wasn’t enough for everyone.
When Shalini told her family about Chandan, resistance came swiftly. Her parents warned her: "He comes from a poor background. He lives in a rented house. He can’t give you the life you’re used to."

But Shalini’s mind was made up. Love, she believed, was worth the risk.
They got married quietly, without grandeur. For a few months, everything seemed fine. But slowly, reality crept in. Money was tight. Bills piled up. Shalini had dreams small ones, but real and they seemed far away now. Her father offered to help, but she refused.
"I made this choice. I’ll live it without leaning back."
Still, there were nights she sat quietly, staring at the ceiling, wondering… Had I made a mistake?
As the pressure of finances grew heavier on Chandan and Shalini, she decided it was time to step up and contribute. Though she had once dreamed of a different kind of life, Shalini was not one to sit idle and complain.
She applied for a position as an accountant and soon secured a job at a reputed private college on the outskirts of Agartala.

Yes, the very same college that Kavya had visited recently for the Sports Day function. The same college with deep political ties and suspicious trust ownership. At the time, neither Kavya nor Shalini knew of each other,
Shalini was proud of earning the accountant position at the college. In her mind, it was proof that, despite their financial troubles, she could stand on her own. She believed her education and sincerity had landed her the job.
But she was wrong. Behind the scenes, every hiring decision in that college passed through the hands of Mr. Gajendar Singh, the man who unofficially controlled the trust that ran the institution. When Shalini’s application came across his desk, he barely glanced at her qualifications. It wasn’t her degree that caught his attention, it was her photo.

Gajendar recognized her instantly. Though he had never followed her Instagram account, he had seen her reels before the charm, the innocence, the camera presence. To him, she wasn’t just another applicant; she was a silent obsession reborn into reality.

He approved her appointment without hesitation. To everyone else, it looked like a routine hire. To Gajendar, it was a calculated move.

Shalini, unaware of the real reason behind her hiring, carried on with her duties focused, diligent, and still hopeful that her hard work would turn things around.

But she was already on a chessboard. And someone had just made their opening move.
Shalini, who followed traditional Kerala customs, preferred wearing sarees to college. Her elegant appearance often stood out, especially as she carried herself with grace and dignity. Gajendar Singh, who visited the college once or twice a month to oversee the accounts, would often meet with her in his private cabin, where she would assist him by clearly explaining financial matters.

On several occasions, Gajendar found himself quietly admiring Shalini’s traditional attire. Her neatly dbangd saree and well-fitted blouse and she used to fix the skirt below her naval subtly caught his attention. However, aware of his professional responsibilities and the environment he was in, Gajendar remained composed. He was careful not to let his thoughts or admiration overstep boundaries, choosing instead to maintain his reputation and wait for a more appropriate moment.
Gajendar Singh didn’t believe in weakness. But ever since Shalini joined the college, he’d found a part of himself losing control. She wasn’t just attractive it was the way she held herself. Graceful. Unshaken. Traditional in appearance but modern in thought. It was maddening to him, how someone so quiet could take up so much space in his mind.

In his sleep, she walked through his thoughts like a shadow. He dreamed of her often dbangd in her usual saree, speaking calmly, eyes meeting him without fear. It wasn’t love. It wasn’t even a desire. It was obsession rooted in something darker:

We can go back to the story; Chandan was deeply sincere in his work and held a strong sense of loyalty toward Kavya Shetty. Determined to uncover the truth, he began investigating the situation of the affected people in Agartala. Days passed as he worked tirelessly, chasing leads and speaking with informants.

Finally, his persistence paid off he received a tip-off that a container filled with electronic goods was being transferred to Bangladesh. The container had no proper documentation and was scheduled to be moved onto a ship the following day.

Chandan immediately reported the information to Kavya. She listened carefully, her expression sharp with focus.

“This is sensitive,” she told him in a low voice. “No one can know about this until we act. We must catch that container, no matter what.”
The next day, Kavya used her authority to obtain special access to the port. She discreetly assembled a trusted team officer; she had full confidence in and led the operation herself.

By afternoon, her team intercepted the container just as it was being loaded for shipment. A thorough inspection revealed the truth: there were no valid documents, and the electronic items were being smuggled out of the country illegally.

Kavya stood silently for a moment, staring at the container. The operation had been a success, but she knew this was just the beginning.

A few hours later, a crowd of TV reporters arrived at the port, cameras flashing and microphones ready. They surrounded Kavya, eager for a statement.

“Madam, who is behind this illegal shipment?” one reporter asked, thrusting a mic toward her.
Kavya remained composed, her eyes sharp and unwavering.

“We cannot reveal that right now,” she said firmly. “But I assure you—we will catch the culprit and bring him before the public. No one is above the law.” Her words made headlines within minutes.

Meanwhile, miles away, Gajendar Singh was watching the live news on his phone. His face darkened with fury. Slamming the phone onto the table, he turned to his team. “How did this happen?” he barked. “Who lets this slip? Who gave Kavya this information?”
No one dared to speak.

“I want answers!” he shouted. “Find out who leaked this to her today! I don’t care what it takes. Whoever it is… they’ll pay for this.”
The room went silent as his team scrambled into action, knowing that when Gajendar lost his temper, the consequences were inevitable. Gajendar’s team was in a frenzy, urgently trying to trace the source of the leak. Phones rang constantly, files were pulled out, and questions were thrown around like fire, no one wanted to be the one caught unprepared.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, Kavya was having one of her most fulfilling days. Her phone buzzed with calls and messages from different departments called to congratulate her on the successful operation. Her efforts were finally being recognized.
Amid the flood of messages, one came from Vivek Sharma. “Well done, Kavya! ?
She smiled and replied politely: “Thank you.”

Moments later, another message popped up from him: “Waiting for the treat ?
She saw it but didn’t respond.
Whether it was her mood, her priorities, or something she couldn’t quite names, she simply let the message sit there, unanswered.
