Pretty good start and nice writing. I would like to point to a fact stated in the story which I think is an unintentional mistake. Frankenstein was not the name of the monster, he was the creator of that monster. His name was Victor Frankenstein, the scientist who tried to play god. As in Mary Shelley's famous novel. So, in your story, as per the narrative it should be the hubby played Frankenstein and made Frankenstein's monster out of his beloved wife.

And please, try to insert a line gap between two paragraphs in the post. On word file, there is no problem. However, here in the post editor, simple copy-paste from the word file will not work. You will have to add one more line-break between two paragraphs.
