Sudden Interruption

Just as Arjun’s grip tightened on Riya's chin, a sudden, loud sound boomed through the cinema hall, startling everyone. The movie had ended abruptly, the bright lights of the theater flickering on. It was an unexpected break from the tension building between them.


Riya blinked, briefly dazed by the sudden brightness and noise. She felt relief wash over her for a split second as the world around them shifted back to reality. The low hum of people getting up and gathering their things filled the air.


Arjun stiffened beside her, his jaw tightening in frustration. He glanced around, noticing that everybody was shuffling towards the exits. His plans for the moment had been cut short, and he couldn't hide the flash of annoyance in his eyes.


On the other side, Vikram and Meera were jolted out of their heated encounter. Meera sat up, her eyes wide, a mixture of shock and confusion as the reality of what had just transpired began to sink in. She glanced around, quickly gathering the folds of her sari, her cheeks flushing as she adjusted her blouse, trying to regain some composure.


Vikram let out a low chuckle, his gaze still fixed on Meera. "Well, it seems like our little session is over for now," he muttered, his voice filled with amusement and promise. He lifted his hands from her waist and leaned back, watching as she hurriedly tried to fix herself.


Still feeling Arjun's hand on her waist, Riya used the distraction to pull away slightly. She exhaled a shaky breath, her eyes darting around the room, her mind racing to process the sudden change.


“We should go,” Meera finally managed to say, her voice strained but firm. She glanced at Riya, their eyes meeting in a fleeting exchange of concern and confusion. 


Vikram stood up, adjusting his clothes, his eyes never leaving Meera. “Yes, let’s go,” he said casually.


Arjun released his grip on Riya's waist, standing up with a forced smile. "Looks like it's time to leave," he said, his voice hinting at a threat. "But this isn't the end, Riya."


Riya and Meera hurriedly gathered their things, adjusting their saris and fixing their appearances as best they could. They glanced at each other, the unspoken understanding that things had taken a dark turn as they walked towards the exit.
